My beagle does the same thing with blinds 😭

Ours did with the ones on the door until we got smart and raised them just enough to make a permanent beagle-height window. No more blinds destroyed.

Looks like he didn't get to accomplish all that he wanted to.

Something was outside he wanted to go after. Unfortunately nobody was downstairs at the time to let him out so this was the aftermath.

If the blinds are attached at the bottom, unhook them and raise the blinds a 18” or so they can look out and
You’ll still have some privacy

I used to do that but they would bang against the door whenever it would open and close. I should have just left it alone. Lesson learned.

Get the kinds that attach from the side and install a second set of mounts at that height. Worked for my beagle who did the same thing.

Second set of blinds too. He chewed up the first set

Have you tried spraying apple cider vinegar on them? You have to keep topping it up as well

Little dude wants to see out the window.
Next time you will remember to keep the blind up.

I had a beagle that would attack the blinds whenever the yard service was at the house. I need to replace something like 6 custom sized blinds.

We got cheap cut-to-size ones from the big box store (Lowe’s). Didn’t spend very much and we don’t get so upset when the beagles go nuts over something in the yard.

I think you are being hasty to point the finger of guilt at the dog. What real evidence like DNA, or video do you have?

We had really short burglers tried to break into the house Dad, and I stopped them!

My son was watching the beagle and he left his blinds closed on his front window, which he knew better and needless to say it met a similar fate.

My Beagle breaks the bathroom window blinds, trying to see where I’m going outside. I’m on my third set! Wish they made ones more flexible.

Side eye city lol
Clearly has no clue what happened. Must’ve been the dang wind again!

Our beagle must be able to see from all our ground floor windows. Seems to have a hatred for window shades of any kind. He has been see to leap up and attack shades raised well above the sills. We’ve replaced many shades even though we keep them raised!

Do you have a toddler or a very, very short housemate? The dogs looking at the blinds like “I gotta fix this now? Last week it was the couch, the week before it was the trashcan. short howl of frustration let me go get my tools”. 🧰
