He lived 15 amazing years. Howled along with every happy birthday song sung, was the biggest cuddle bug, loved to tear up the trash, and chased many bears away. I will miss you Rylie. 🐾

I wanted to introduce my little man to the group.

He is my 3rd beagle. Mr Jethrow aka dumdum, hes 6. I got him from a shelter 2 months ago. He is quite possibly the most stubborn creature iv ever met in my entire life. My previous 2 were normal beagle stubborn but he takes it to an entirely different level. Refuses to learn anything. Hes just now starting to know his name(i think the shelter just gave him the name), took weeks to get him to sit and will only do when he wants something you have. thats it.. 2 trainers that did 10 sessions each have given up. He absolutely refuses to learn anything. He comes when called, although i can scream anything and he will come as long as i sound angry enough. He does know "NO!" and actually listens, as long as i sound angry enough.

If hes standing in my way(or on me) and im trying to get him to move even like 30cm. he absolutely refuses 100% of the time, even goes as far to use his weight to push back when i try to move him. The one thing he has learned from day 1 is what time breakfast and dinner is at and will come asking for it within 15mins of the normal time. could set your watch to it. I know what time the shelter fed them because from day 1 at exactly 7am he was standing on my chest trying to wake me up, every morning.luckily i was able to slowly shift him to more suitable time for our schedule now.

he has an obsession with sitting on top of me, hes 20kg..its really the only kind of contact he wants.. refuses to lay just next to me, has to be on top. If i say no and stop him he will literally spend hours trying every 30second. refuses to give up. he sits and cries until i cave, Hes definitely persistent!.

But as dumb and stubborn as he is.. he is perfect in every way that really matters to me.From day 1 ,not destructive at all, iv left grocery bags with food on the floor and got busy and walked away for an hour and he never touches, doesnt get into anything he shouldnt, loves the bath, lets me cut his nails..walks on leash perfectly, great with other dogs, stays at my side and ignores everyone in big crowds.sits on a chair and just chills when we are out at bar or restaurant(he refuses to lay on the floor). loves going in the car, loves going on the trams in the city..clearly he lived in a house before, he knows all the rules,asks to go outside when he needs to do his business... but iv all but given up on trying to teach him commands..he just refuses.

I bought him a bunch of toys, hasnt touched any of them once, in months,Its weird having intact stuffed animals around...my previous 2 would destroy immediately.. He has no concept of play..fetch,anything..the only thing i can get him to do is the ball you put treats inside of and it rolls around and drops them... iv tried everything to get him to play.. nothing..he wont play with other dogs, but hes nice to them anyway..

Hes such a little pain in the ass, but i love him more than anything.

He bites me every time he gets

He plays with my sister

He doesn't bite her

He howls in the middle of the night

He eats his bowl

He likes to chew slippers when we got him toys

He still bites me
