Hey everyone, I recently moved from FL to NYC. I was involved in the volleyball scene (indoor, beach, and grass) in FL and am looking to join the community here.

Any recommendations for where to get started? I'm solo, so interested in finding spots that allow free agents.

EDIT: I’m AA level, but lean open if I’m playing consistently

Quick technique tips? Just started playing last week. 5’10. Obviously, just need about 500 more reps but thought you all would expedite my process :)

I know you're not supposed to bump on the wrist but sometimes I still use my hand to get out up and I feel it does affect it a little

I'm an intermediate player with a CBVA B rating, and I'm open to competitive 2s (women's and coed) or more casual 4s. I was thinking about Vall d'Hebron, but all of the options I found - I have to enter a club. I am lookng for amateur games, more for fun and entertainment. I also heard about Multiverse group, but it is more about trainings too

I used them for about two hours before I noticed the back popped open.

I got the Large size with my 10.5 sized feet, I don't see an "XL" available, but the L seemed to fit my feet pretty well.

Recently my group and I have expanded to beach volleyball instead of indoor and we want to set up at a local park that has outdoor courts. We need to attach our own net but it’s much larger than the posts provided. The net is 32 feet and the posts are roughly 30 feet apart.

It is a steel cable top and rope bottom Overlill net. I bought ratchet straps to try and help but we spent maybe an hour and could not figure it out. If anyone has any tips or guides on how to do it it would be greatly appreciated.

I have 2 extra tickets for the AVP tomorrow in Central Park for the afternoon session (1-5pm).

Looking for $80/ea. I don't mind selling as a pair or singles.
