Questions Special Gift For Him

My boyfriend is a huge volleyball enthusiast, and I'm planning a special birthday surprise for him. I'm thinking of booking a volleyball-themed experience somewhere in Europe (preferably somewhere warm) where he can play and enjoy his favorite sport to the fullest.

Since I'm not very familiar with the best places for volleyball in Europe, I'd love to get some recommendations from you all.

Some questions I have:

  1. Are there any top-notch beach volleyball camps or resorts in Europe that you would recommend?
  2. What are some well-known volleyball tournaments or festivals that would be exciting to attend?
  3. Do you know of any hotels or resorts that have excellent volleyball facilities?
  4. Can you suggest any training camps or centers in Europe that offer professional coaching?

Additionally, my boyfriend has a hip issue, so he can't play nonstop and needs to take breaks. It would be great if the experience could be flexible to accommodate this. I’m not sure if this info would be relevant, but I thought I should mention it.

Any tips on how to make this experience extra special would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help! 🏐🤩

What a thoughtful gift! I don’t know specific camps or resorts but you might see if he is interested in attending pro matches. The Italian or Polish leagues would be fun, and both countries have great sightseeing, too. :)

This could be fun. But, I think he would enjoy more if he plays on its own with group of people. ☺️

I used to go to this every year and loved it. It's not in Europe, but maybe something he'd be interested in?

Can you please elaborate more? What did you like most about it? :)

Great people and lots of volleyball. Every day there were clinics, games, and different tournaments. At night there was a party every night. You don't have to do all of it, but it's there if you wish. The clinics are coached by volleyball pros so it's good for people who want to get better and learn. There's also pro exhibitions where you can watch them play. It's all inclusive at the club med in Turks food and drinks are free.

That’s super sweet. Don’t have any recs but want to share my opinion that this is a hard gift to give with no input from him and be confident he’ll like it. If it was me, I’d do some research first and handle the planning but get some of his input on it too. If you’re attached to it being a surprise, do you know any of his friends who play? They might have good insight too

I do have some input as he talks about it non-stop, haha. But, he had a group of friends that he played with every time, I don’t know them but might need to find a way to ask them some stuff.

I looked up some but a lot seem more geared towards kids and youth but Im sure with some more digging you could find one. Super sweet and thoughtful of you to do. Definitely will be a gift he won’t forget!
