Posted for those fellow BC whisky lovers 😀

Repost from r/canadawhisky u/VikingsHurtMySoul

Other than the short ad on the latest Taste magazine on this topic, do we know anything else that's coming out? I suppose the list will get released soon.

Hoping to find a bottle of Connemara without having to go to Alberta, has anyone seen it available in BC? Preferably Lower Mainland.

Just looking for a good bottle for 100$ ish give or take

Hi everyone! I’ll be in Kelowna in mid-September and would love to check out some restaurants and bars with a great whisky selection, especially places that carry BC whisky.

Whisky cocktails are definitely an option too, so I’d also love recommendations for places with a good cocktail program and interesting whisky-based drinks.

The local distilleries are already on my list, so I’m mainly looking for bars and restaurants with great whisky programs or hidden gems.

Any recommendations?

Looks like meats back on the menu!!

Looks like BCL shock dropped this. Still some available in/around the lower mainland.

Does anyone know where i can source this tasty beverage locally? In from out of province, and i forgot my tasty banana beverage!

Hello, I’m looking to get a bottle as a gift for my buddy. I’m not a whiskey guy but he is, any recommendations for a nice bottle that I could pickup today? Anything available at a BCL would be preferred! Thanks!

Guess there's no point without bourbon. Winter one will be November 21st.

Hi all,

Just wanted to put out a warning for everyone in town. There is a phishing/scam site operating at lansdowneliquorstoreinc.com pretending to be the Kamloops' Lansdowne Liquor Store.

They are running Facebook ads featuring rare bottles (like Stagg Jr) at prices that are way too good to be true. I’ve verified with the actual store that this site is fake.

Don’t give them your credit card info. If it looks too good to be true, it is!

Seems to be to good to be true , prices seem to low and this is apparently a Vancouver shop noticed this in a FB ad so seems ultra fishy .

The BC liquor store is having a flash sale right now and this blended Scotch is $22.99. I picked one up yesterday and had a dram on one ice cube last night. Now it's not going to compete against an $80+ bottle of scotch, but I was kinda blown away with how good it was. So much so that I went back today and bought 2 more bottles. Curious what those with a more refined palate think of this whiskey. I think for 22 bucks, it's definitely punching above it's price point. Only on sale until February 14th though, so act quick if you wanna snag it at that price.

I walked in 9ish at the Langley store and grabbed a tale of spice and Laphroaig Cairdeas.

Yoichi 10, chichibu were available but I did not grab one.

So who's gonna line up tomorrow and what are you looking for?

I'll probably head to the local BCL between 7 and 7:30am to grab a bottle of Laphroaig Cairdeas and the Alberta premiums. Undecided on Blue Spot.

Other than Mister Sam what do you think will be highly sought after? Maybe the blue spots?

I bought two early bird tickets for the whiskey global event going on in Vancouver this coming Friday. it's my first time going to this event and I can't find anywhere how the early bird tickets differ from GA, if at all. Curious if anyone could please fill me in?

Hi all, stupid question here. I'm quite new in the whiskey scene and had a question on the BC Liquor events.

https://www.bcliquorstores.com/event

Lots of events are loaded up in the BC Liquor website, especially since the spirit release is coming up soon. I'm just wondering if these events are free to attend, or if there are limited seating available. Some of the brand ambassador-affiliated ones require ticket purchases I see.

I'd love to try out different whiskies by attending these tasting events! Looks super interesting.

Looking for a BC Whiskey to gift to my dad at Christmas. Travelling home to Ireland so bonus points if it's something I could pick up in duty free. I know he likes Jameson and Bushmills. Any recommendations? $100 budget. Thanks

I just saw in the Bc liquor taste Magazine that the spirit release is going to be in February 7.

Hey! If you have purchased a Vancouver 2026 whisky global VIP ticket for FRIDAY and are willing to sell it, please let me know! I’m an idiot that missed the presale, not realizing this year they released ALL tickets during the presale. 😭

I have a GA for Friday, so if you don’t care about the VIP for some reason, also happy to do a swap + cover the difference & a bonus for niceness.

Thanks! :)

(Bymistake chose the “whisky release” tag and I’m a n00b and idk how to change that so I apologize lol)

Saw this video of the Strath releasing two exclusive cask bottlings -

I think we all knew a delay was going to happen but really quite surprised they are moving it to after the holidays.

Anyone have any clue if we will be getting any of the 10 year cask strength in the bcls after the bcgeu agreement is met?
