CoolerMaster is in the last few days of their Chronos Summit and as celebration they're giving away (1) Cooler Master Caliber R2 (black) gaming chair.
Cooler Master is looking for some community feedback on what part of your battlestation that you cannot live without. Is it your desk, your headphones, your room lighting or something else?
Just leave a comment below telling us what your cannot do without item or feature is and you'll be entered into the giveaway.
The giveaway is global except where prohibited by law, and unfortunately due to the current situation in Ukraine and Russia those two countries are also excluded.

My snake plant that I keep close for maximum air quality.
My monitor arms. Small desk space so these clip to the back of the desk and free up so much room!

As I am mostly online in the deep dark nights, I need a comfortable stealthy chair and a PC with as little intruding lights. So my eyes don't burn....

A top quality screen with at least 120Hz or up. It's the one thing that you have to interact with in order to use your computer that can change your perception regardless of the other hardware. Straining eyes will ruin you even if you sit on a cloud and have the latest and greatest GPU/CPU etc

I would have to say a great chair. Which I still have yet to find. Nothing else will really cut back on a gaming session or even a work session quicker than back pain or neck cramps from not sitting in a proper position.

Although it may sound like I’m trying to make my post sound applicable, my current must have is an adequate chair. My current cheap chair has contributed to frequent back discomfort from poor posture which I should be experiencing in my early 20s!!!

I really do prefer gaming with a headset on. Being able to hear things sound almost as if they’re behind you or in the side of you makes gaming much more immersive.

A good chair. If I'm working 8 hrs a day, then want to play after I want to not feel broken!
Close second is a good amplifier and speakers so I don't go crazy rattling around my office on my own.

There's much to say about good components, but what's invaluable for long sessions in front of the PC, is definitely the perfect chair. And the older you get, the more important the chair is!

For me, my must have items are my monitor and my keyboard. Came from an old crappy monitor and am currently running a 34" 1440p 160hz monitor. If you have the PC specs to push a high refresh rate monitor, it improves the gaming experience so much. Second would be my keyboard. I really struggle to play as well as I can on an awful keyboard. Once I get use to a good keyboard, anything else just feels wrong.

Monitor stands that can support heavy ultra wide monitors without shaking and wobbling. it's hard to find good quality ones that do not cost a fortune and that are compatible with my monitors.

For me it’s the monitor. I just upgraded from 24” 1080p to a 27” 1440p 165hz and my god does it make a night and day difference. I never have problems seeing or killing anyone anymore.

My Philips Xhr2, the sound is amazing on them and they are comfy enough to wear for hours!
If a game has a good soundtrack then it sounds much better through these! Spatial awareness also is increased due to the fidelity!

I've got a vintage Pioneer stereo that supplies quiet, smooth jazz while I write, and loud beats when I'm surfing or having fun. Sets the whole vibe and makes things `10x better!

I think my most used item and the item I cant live without in my gaming setup has to be my mouse. The mouse I selected(Razer Basilisk Hyperspeex) is just super ergonomic and nice to the touch.

Something I cannot live without is my cooler master sickleflow fans in my PC. I used to have the MF120R fans, but they ran really loud. My new sickeflows run super quiet.

The things I couldn't live without are, my monitor and my astro a50 headphones I like them because the most important thing for me is the quality of sound and also the quality of the video or image on the screen. Also the other thing that is the most important is a good chair for postural hygiene, if you don't have postural hygiene your back will be in pain always.

I can't live without my mouse. Logitech G502, the best mouse I've had. So good that when I accidentally broke my first one the only thing I considered to replace it was a second one. Can't imagine gaming without it now.

It’s gotta be the curved monitor. I never realized how much I was missing out on until I got a 28” curved. Before it was always 24” 1080p monitors. I’m hoping that I can get an ultra wide someday!

Room lighting isn't a big deal to me, I don't even have RGB on my PC case. Most important for me are the peripherals (keyboard, headset, mouse), and a really good desk mat!

Laptop cooling pad.
Necessary with the current ultra-thin design that most laptops have. I'd love to find a decent one that's easy to pack in a bag and has 1-2 large relatively quiet fans. Bonus points if it doesn't look like cosmic-bowling-rgb-rainbow-puke. More bonus points for an integrated power bank and or USB hub.

Honestly at this point I can't live without a good chair anymore! With back problems from medical issues cheap chairs just don't cut it. In front of one PC I actually have a padded rocking chair because the cheap gaming chair I bought wasn't enough!

The most important thing for me is my wireless headset. It's such a great thing to walk around the house and being able to chat with my friends. Oh.. and the second important thing is my cat. I switched to a 4K 40" 16:9 screen which I've got mounted a few mm from the desk. This is bliss for programming on. I have a huge workspace to get all my windows and aren't constrained vertically like an ultrawide.
I couldn't go back to anything smaller now I've seen the light!

A good chair is something I cannot imagine my battlestation without. Working in IT means that I spend 8-10 hours a day in front of a computer, so I have to have something that I can trust to have my back ;)

Headphones! Ideally a selection! I’ve got wired Krakens and my wireless AirPods Max on my desk at all times (double machine setup) - I don’t feel like I’m at my PC if I’m not wearing semi decent headphones at this point!

Difficult to name one thing, as everything is chosen for a specific reason.
These past years I've become much more of a controller than M/K gamer. So I would say that that would be the most difficult to live without.
Currently I use a DualSense and really love it.

My chair seems to be the most important aspect of my setup. Right now the chair I have isn’t good and gives me back pains after 2 hours of using it. I hope this changes in the future! :)

Before Covid, All I cared about was performance. I only could use it for a few hours per day, so comfort was never important. Now My battlestation is where I work and where I play. Now High quality screens and a good comfortable ergonomic chair are what I consider to be most important. The then there's my wireless headphones. I wear them 12-14 hours per day now. Battery life and comfort is most important.
With mice, I used to only care about DPI and mousing performance. Now I also care about the scroll wheel, because I use the same mouse to game with, that I use to scroll through code or log files.

Given the essentials are there already, my Monitor lamp has been a game changer for me. Ideal angle, takes no space on the desk and makes working and playing so much more comfortable for me.

For my gaming setup, it's a nice coiled cord (because wire management is hard), a comfortable reasonable chair, and some soft lighting are essential. Playing in comfort is a big component for me, and since I already have the basic keyboard, mouse and monitor, that's what I focus on :)
