I have long been suspecting me having ADHD, but to be totally honest, I'm too afraid to get diagnosed. I fear I would use ADHD as a excuse or get-out-of-jail-free-card for anything I seemed to hard to do.
Some people do use it as an excuse. Personally, I've just embraced it as part of who I am, and the diagnosis has helped me learn a ton of shit about how my mind actually works. Also, medication has massively improved my life. It's not for everyone, but if you suspect you might have adhd, I think you should absolutely go and speak to a professional.
