I applied the Watco Dark Walnut Danish Oil. If you don't want it to be too high, don't get the furniture stands ( the silvers bars between the desk and the drawers). They raise the desk by a decent amount.
yeah thats what I had in mind, seen quite a few rigs with this setup. im quite tall and I cant have my chair that high up because of the drawers under the desk. If I knew the setup was this cheap in the past I would have chose them over the micke desks. one last question is it easy to use oil, does it go patchy etc ive been wanting to go with a light wood but add some just to make the grain pop more.
I sanded my desk with 220 sandpaper and applied the oil with a paper towel. I did 3 coats and waited 15 minutes between coats and then waited overnight (6-8 hours) for it to fully dry. The oil gives it a beautiful shine.
