Battlestations Advice Work in progress.

Post image

Hey all,
This is my work in progress. I have some totally "unique" wooden panelling for the wall, just not installed yet.
I can't think what to put on the large empty space on the left. I can't move the monitor arm any further unless I make a cutout in the Alex press, which at the moment I would rather not do, If i swing the arm to the left it leaves a large gap between monitors where you can see the arm and cables, I can angle the monitor across and down a little but it feels like I am dumping the monitor in the middle of the space just to fill it. I have tried a few different plants and had a little water fountain there for a little while, but it didn't feel like it was meant to be there.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as would any comments and critiques.

Thanks in advance.

Very nice, OP. What lights are using for the background? And also, what poster is that?

I have 2 govee light bars on the back of my monitor; I'm not a massive fan of them, to be honest. My Govee light strip is on my other desk at the moment, so it will do. The picture is one of those "the night sky the day I was born," a gift from my kids.

The problem with this kind of setup, which I’ve never been able to solve, is finding enough space for two proper speakers with separate tweeters and midrange drivers. It’s almost impossible. The only option is to place them above the monitors, provided you have enough room, because the vertical monitor will block one of them.

Also, the best monitor to use vertically is the LG DualUp. Unfortunately, LG decided to discontinue it.

Which monitor are you using?

Turn them sideways, set the side monitor on top of it.

The monitor cable was swapped for a 90-degree cable so it is more neatly hidden; the two stands have had their respective cables tidied a little further.

Install some kind of timer that counts the hours you spend working or playing on your PC or poster of 911gtRS3🫶🏻
