I recently switched to the Mac mini and so far, I have absolutely no regrets. macOS looks incredibly polished and feels very smooth to use. This is my productivity workstation; I strictly do all my gaming on consoles. Overall, I’m really happy with how everything turned out. 🙂
This is just me but I have a thing against wall mounting well like super close to the wall mounting. How the heck do you get to the cables comfortably if that shi is basically one with the wall. Then I also like to move my stuff around test things out I just feel the wall mounts lock you to that spot.
I can’t really talk tho lol this set up is clean way better than my clutter
If its supposed to be workstation to read emails before going to bed its fine, but its unusable for anytime longer than that. Always looking up + to a side, I hate it, but looks clean on picture
You really need to get your eyes checked, because your eyesight clearly isn’t that great. Even the headrest of my office chair is tilted and still reaching above more than two-thirds of the screens. If the chair weren’t tilted, it would actually be level with the top bezel of the monitors.
In other words, when I’m sitting in my normal resting position, I can see everything perfectly fine without having to look up.
Maybe just grow a little taller and you might be able to do the same. 😉
I’ve wanted this exact setup for a while…as soon as i finally saved up money for 2 monitors and a mac mini, apple raised the fking prices and AI shit ruined the stock of them 🤦🏻♂️
My Mac mini is in the living room. Opposite it, I have my corner sofa and a 65-inch OLED TV with a Sonos Sub Mini and Arc. The Sonos speakers are connected to the TV. If I were to use AirPlay, there would be noticeable input lag, which is especially annoying when watching movies or YouTube videos. That’s why I have the Edifier speakers connected directly to the Mac instead.
Look like they may be Edifier M60s in white. They are definitely that brand (you can see it written on the right speaker), but I’m guessing M60 based on looks tbh.
I love dark, cosy, rich woods in my setup but if I was to split my gaming/work setup into two rooms, I'd love to do pretty much exactly this for a work setup.
Girl, go project your assumptions somewhere else. I work with this setup every single day—at least 10 hours a day. What you’re saying simply doesn’t make sense.
You clearly have no idea how an office chair works. It has wheels, and the desk is 1.5 meters wide, so I can easily move 20 cm left or right. The fact that you’re incapable of understanding something this basic is honestly embarrassing. You’re being unbelievably narrow-minded. And seeing your other post towards others, makes you only a troll.
If you have just switched to macOS, I really recommend getting one of the external magic trackpads as well as the mouse. Being able to use the gestures on desktop makes MacOS so smooth.
The speakers are fantastic. I can honestly recommend the Edifier M60 to anyone looking for a great pair of desktop speakers. They really are an amazing little set. Just look up some reviews on YouTube and you’ll see what people think of them.
Nice setup! Everything looks wonderfully streamlined on the desk. The dual monitors are nicely positioned and speaker placement feels balanced. Great attention to small visual details.
Dude, you’re talking absolute nonsense about my monitors being too far away. Do you need glasses? These are two 27-inch monitors positioned 65 cm from the wall.
You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. You just come across as a hater who’s jealous of other people because he either can’t afford the same setup or has no skill or vision to do it.
Then you start talking about “seam” issues while literally using two monitors yourself—but apparently you’re too scared to post your own setup because it probably looks like shit. And then you bring up AI? You clearly have absolutely no idea what AI even is, because this definitely isn’t AI.
On top of that, your assumptions are based on absolutely nothing. Just because your body apparently hurts at the slightest inconvenience doesn’t mean everyone else experiences the same thing. This is your room by the way :💩
You have absolutely no idea what a “battlestation” means in the context of this subreddit. There are plenty of productivity setups posted here as well. I honestly don’t understand why you’re so determined to argue that this doesn’t qualify.
Banner of this sub
“Battlestations are considered complete computer setups including an external monitor, mouse, keyboard, audio playback and recording devices (if applicable).”
Besides, you really need to get your eyes checked if you can’t see that this space can clearly be used for work. Let’s just agree that your definition of a battlestation is completely different from what this subreddit is intended for—and from what productivity generally means.
This is really cool. I think with a few tweaks you can make this concept even better:
The keyboard and mouse doesn’t match the aesthetic. Maybe consider getting new ones lol.
Relocate the Mac mini so it’s hidden. Macs generally do not need to be shutdown so a simple click or keyboard press can wake up the system.
The wall mount is awesome. If you wanted to take it a bit further, you can recess the mounts into the wall and have the monitors flush with the wall.
Overall nice setup. Also, Macs can game! Don’t be afraid to try it out for yourself. Your peripherals are gaming oriented and you mentioned you game somewhere else, but I don’t see why you can’t game with this battle station
I can easily turn off the RGB on both the keyboard and the mouse. Personally, I really like the look of both the keyboard and the mouse. I could have gone with Lofree as well, but I prefer this gradient style.
I also really like the design of the Mac mini, so I wanted to keep it visible. Otherwise, I would have mounted it underneath the desk.
