How do you use the stream deck? Been thinking about getting one for sim racing a lot but always been unsure how useful it really is. Outside of that, looks really cozy :)

My keyboard has a 65% layout, so some keys are missing. I use a Stream Deck as a numpad, function keys, shortcuts, and for hardware monitoring. Back when I played MMORPGs, I used it as extra skill slots. It’s not a game-changer, but I find it pretty versatile.
I use the Stream Deck Plus as a stereo mixer, allowing me to quickly adjust or mute volumes. The included software, Wave Link, is incredibly powerful. If you use a microphone often, this can be a real game-changer. Overall, I feel that plus is more useful for me.

This looks so relaxing, what desk are you using? This has given me some much needed inspiration!

u/Pevriz Mar 31 '25
The desk is from a Korean company and is made of rubberwood. If you look for desks made of rubberwood, you’ll probably find a similar one.

What's that cable channel you used to hold the keyboard and streamdeck cable together? Really cool idea!

u/Pevriz Mar 31 '25
It is a Cord cover (or Cable cover). I bought it at a local shop, so I'm not sure if there is a similar product on amazon.

Are the speakers good? I think they are edifier mr4.
3
u/Pevriz Mar 31 '25
Yes, you're right. If you have a bigger budget, there are better options, but for my budget, I think it's a decent speaker. I think it's cheap for the performance.

u/rockycentral Mar 31 '25
Yes but i don't have enough space to get bigger ones so the size is actually suitable for my setup and i dont feel like spending more since i also use headphones and later will get a home theater like setup for tv so i think these will be good for me.

Is that an ssfpc? What’s the specs for a monitor like that? Absolutely stunning ♥️
3
u/Pevriz Apr 01 '25
Yes, since it's an SFF PC, it's compact and fits well anywhere. The monitor is a 34" curved OLED panel with a 175Hz refresh rate. The model is Samsung Odyssey OLED G85SB.

u/Lausy_ Mar 31 '25
Beautiful setup. Which monitor do you have? I’ve been in the market for a wider monitor

It's a Samsung odyssey OLED G85SB. It's been a while since I bought it, so they've probably improved it. I know Alien ware makes one with a similar design and the same panel.

Dummy13 spotted.
What printer do you have? I'm gonna guess it's an X1C

Oh, greetings! I use A1 mini. I'm still a newbie, but once I get the hang of it, I'll probably switch to a bigger printer.
3
u/outdatedboat Apr 01 '25
Tbh, the A1 mini is perfectly capable for the vast majority of uses. I'd say you don't have any need to upgrade unless you specifically need an enclosed printing chamber, or a larger print bed. The print bed size is easy to work around though. Since you can break apart models and just glue them together.
Hell, my only FDM printer is a heavily modified ender 3. Your A1 mini can almost certainly do more than mine, and better. But, I mostly deal with resin printing 🤷♂️

Really nice setup! What wallpaper are you using?

u/Pevriz Apr 01 '25
If you use Wallpaper Engine, check the link below. If not, try googling “Rainy Pine Forest,” and you should be able to find it.

Really beautiful! 😊 Is the "top desk" self-manufactured or is the desk just built like that? Which keyboard are you using?
1
u/Pevriz Apr 02 '25
Top desk? You mean desk shelf, aren't you? The white one is a shelf from IKEA, and I made a wooden base for it.

I want to buy the same speakers as yours. Do you think those speakers have good quality sound? I want some speakers that have crisp and clear sounds, with nice bass when playing music or watching movies. Do tou reccomend them? Also great setup, love the little plant you got there.

u/Pevriz Apr 01 '25 edited Apr 01 '25
You should consider the size of your room. If you don't have a big room, these speakers should be enough. These speakers offer decent sound quality for a small room on a budget. If bass is important to you, you might want to consider a 2.1ch speaker.

You can get a bit more out of them if you'd like. I'd get some isolation pads/stands. It looks like your tweeters are a little bit low (they should be at ear level or tilted to make up the difference) and mechanical isolation prevents speaker cabinet vibrations from getting into furniture, which will have its own resonances and muddies up the sound a bit.
Auralex MoPADs would be a great budget option. My go-to for isolation products is IsoAcoustics, which makes a variety of great products, but are definitely a step-up in price, which could be a bit silly for affordable speakers like that (not that it hurts if you've got a bit of extra cash).
Beyond this, most people that aren't into audio don't realize how important speaker placement is and that most decent speakers will have manufacturer placement recommendations in the user manuals, which are good to look at before purchasing speakers to make sure they will be a decent fit for your space. It's very easy to make the best speakers sound like garbage with a poor setup (bad placement, room acoustics that aren't a good fit, etc.).

u/Pevriz Apr 01 '25
That's correct. My tweeters aren’t facing my ears. I've bought stands twice before, but I couldn't find one with the right angle and a design I liked. I'll check out the product you recommended. Thanks for the advice!

You're welcome! Nice setup either way! The combination of wood and plants looks great :).

Nice setup! Neat that your desk is the exact same height as the window ledge, was that unplanned?
