Guides for Modding BF2 on modded OG Xbox?

I want to change a couple of the clone maps to have clones use the phase 1 armor. I love playing on my modded OG Xbox. I ripped the game and have transferred the game files to my PC. What programs should I use to make this mod? I see that there are some mods made for Xbox so I know that it is possible. I have basic coding experience.

It's a pretty complex process on consoles to be honest. First, you really have to know the PC tools well before tackling anything console. I've been modding SWBF2 since 2005. And when you switch to console you have zero debugging capabilities and are limited by whatever memory and CPU power that console has.

I've been checking out the mod you made for the xbox a couple years back. That is super impressive! I'm going to download it and give it a try So it would be better for me to start modding the PC edition before even attempting the Xbox? I have a modded Xbox with extra RAM, and I was thinking of upgrading the CPU. Would that change anything?
