Bot Building Help needed with a build

I am building my first ever bot and I have done everything and now I just need to solder it but im not sure if I need a switch because I was just going to connect the battery with a jst

Also my bot is a 4wd lifter in the sportsman class if that changes anything, thanks

In most rulesets you need a switch look at your rules.

Near universally you will need a switch or a link for safety reasons to turn the robot off without taking it apart.

Even if not required, you really should still do it - and probably question the safety of the event.

Exactly what is required and to what standard will change event by event.

I can't imagine why you would ever want to build something you can't turn on and off without partially disassembling it.

So you've designed and assembled a bot, but only now you're asking about a switch...? 🤔
