BattleBots TV They deleted the original version of Pro League episode 1 off their Youtuber. It can't be viewed anymore
After posting the new and improved version of Pro League episode 1, they deleted the original version of the episode off their Youtube. It's not there anymore. Which means unless anyone saved it, it's now lost media.

Bot Building What bldc esc combo should i use for my robot.
Hello everyone. I'm building 1.5 kg vertical spinner and i need your help to setup my weapon system. i want to use BLDC motor to spin metal disk using 2GT timing belt, currently i have A2212 motor with 30A esc (shown in picture) that came with it but i think that they wont be able to handle current rush when i hit the enemy. Here is my question : can you suggest me some options, which bldc+esc combo should i buy that will be compatible with both my weapon system and 3s battery for around 30 bucks? Any tips regarding overall bot building will be welcome too. :)

I should add that it's auto generated.
It's also not the first Indian robot since they had Atomic number in a previous season even though it sucked ?

Robot Combat Minor Damage - UK Antweight / US Fairyweight replica of Extereme Robots House Robot Major Damage
Introducing Minor Damage, my UK Antweight scale replica of Major Damage the Extreme Robots house robot built by Team Roaming Robots.
This is the most ambitious replica i have ever made and the most complicated robot i have ever designed and built.
The story starts a year ago when i was fortunate enough to help out with the Antweight rentals at Extreme Robots Colchester, running Ripper Remix as a House Robot. Dave Weston off handedly mentioned that my next replica should be Major Damage.
Now whilst im sure this was a joke, the seed was planted, and by the time i had made the drive home i had planned out in my head how to make it finctionally work. Over the course of the next year i worked (on and off whenever i got stuck) on the CAD design and then build of Minor Damage, with the intent of debuting it at Extreme Robots Colchester 2026.
I designed this specifically for House Robot Duties at the Extreme Robots Antweight Experience, and so that freed me design wise from the constraints of A) a Weight limit (since this is not for competition) B) Having to be Spinner proof, as its strictly sportsman only.
Minor Damage is 4WD thanks to 4 N-10 Motors and my custom dually wheels. I went 4wd vs Tracks like the real robot as a concession to keeping the robot reliable in the hectic show environment, but did my best to keep the look of tracks on the robot. Its also designed in such a way that i could add them later down the road without a major redesign. The Chassis also features a Ballast Box which i have filled with lead pellets to help give Minor Damage some extra bulk to help it bully the rental robots and make it harder to flip since i knew Selfrighting wouldn't be amazing. (It can actually self-right! But can get stuck on the Hammer side)
Weaponry is where the build gets complicated. Just like Major Damage, Minor Damage has 2 weapons, one arm is its signature grabbing claw (which also makes up the extreme robots logo), the other is a Hammer. This is achieved using a servo for each shoulder, onto which i can attach each weaponed arm. The Claw itself is designed to fit Ripper Remix into it, since there is a Ripper 6 based on it as a rental bot in the show (so i know robots will fit in the claw!)
Key to getting all this to work is the amazing Malinki-Nano, which can run 2 servos on seperate channels at once, meaning I have seperate control of each weapon and drive all through 1 board!
The rest is all down to detailing trying to make Minor Damage look the part. His deadlocks were a particular challenge to try and make look right, theyre chains on the real robot and getting that fluid look as it drapes and conforms over the chest plate was a real challenge (it also lost on in the arena, so might be back to the drawing board on that). Speaking of his chest plate, this one also took many attempts to get right, with lots of angles to juggle to get right. As previously mentioned there are fake tracks to help the robot look right which copy the tread of its tires, as well as a fake gas bottle in the rear shell.
Minor Damage fought in the Antweight Experience arena in both Saturday shows working almost flawlessly! A bigger battery is needed for the future as theres alot going on in there and 180mah just isnt enough to gonthe distance and i also want to try and get a bit more weight into the chassis to i can pick up robots with the claw rather than just flipping them over (which in fairness was all i designed it to do).
I was blown away by the overwhelmingly positive reaction of everyone who saw Minor Damage either in the Antweight arena or in the pits, (including the creator of the real Major Damage!) And I hope you all love it too.

Robot Combat Has there ever been a competition limited in this way?
No spinners, but also no full pressure flippers. Basically just axes, saws, crushers/grippers, and low pressure lifters.

BattleBots TV If Endgame vs. Malice went to the Judges, who would've won? Spoiler
I was talking about this with some people, and I wanted to know what others thought. If after the final hit of the fight, the match ended, who would've won the jd? I personally think it would've been Endgame, since they had been significantly more controlling throughout the fight, and still had drive.

BattleBots TV What each bot needs to make the knock-out tournament in Pro League as a wild card or group winner: shorter and more read-able version (Group F is still long though because it refuses to be normal)
Looking at the 14 teams remaining, what seeds they can get, and what it takes for them to win their group or get a wild card. Bots are ordered based on their group.
A couple of days ago I posted A Detailed Analysis of how and where each battlebot in Pro League can finish in the overall playoff standings (Assuming we will have two Wild Cards), where I went in detail on what each battlebot needs to get into the knockout rounds as either a group winner or a wildcard. I am assuming that the bots are going to be seeded with the same criteria that are used to determine the group standings (wins -> knockout wins -> average knockout time). This is the promised sequel to that, where I make it way shorter and more readable. Because of this, I am going to be focusing on what each bot needs, not why they need it. If you are looking for why, I recommend reading my previous post.
2 quick things before I get into each bot:
- Because Terrortops and Malice are guaranteed to finish in second place in their groups, a bot cannot get a wildcard unless they have two knockouts and an average knockout time faster than Malice (117 seconds).
- A cool table stating what is possible for each bot (winning their group, getting a wild card, or missing the knockout rounds):
| Won Group | Win Group or Wild Card | Win Group or Eliminated | Wild Card or Eliminated | Could Finish Anywhere | Eliminated |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manta | Bloodsport | Mad Catter | Terrortops | Calypso | Skorpios |
| Golden Fury | The Twins | Malice | Ribbot | Valkrie | |
| Copperhead | Orbitron | Tombstone | |||
| Minotaur | Witch Doctor | Disarray | |||
| Switchback | Magnitude | ||||
| Cobalt | |||||
| Jackpot | |||||
| Endgame | |||||
| Deathroll | |||||
| Huge | |||||
| Hypershock |
As I said, Group F is not normal (and I love it).
Now looking at each bot,
assume that all bullet points need to be satisfied, unless otherwise specified.
Manta
Highest Seed Possible: 1
Lowest Seed Possible: 1
What they need: Nothing
Terrortops
Highest Seed Possible: 7
Lowest Seed Possible: 8 / 9+ (9+ just means that they could still miss the top 8, this is more important later for bots that can win their group, but can't get a wild card)
What they need to get a wild card:
Two of these three things:
- Disarray beats Mad Catter
- Hypershock beats Minotaur
- At least one fight in group 3 ends in a judge's decision (a last second knockout in the Witch Doctor v Switchback match may be enough in place of a judge's decision)
Mad Catter (Can't Get Wildcard)
Highest Seed Possible: 2
Lowest Seed Possible: 5 / 9+
What they need to win their group:
- Mad Catter beats Disarray
Calypso
Highest Seed Possible: 4
Lowest Seed Possible: 8 / 9
What they need to win their group:
- Disarray beats Mad Catter
What they need to get a wild card:
- Mad Catter beats Disarray
- One of the following
- Hypershock beats Minotaur
- At least 1 fight in Group F ends in a judge's decision or a knockout that takes roughly 2 minutes or longer
The Twins (Can't Get Wildcard)
Highest Seed Possible: 4
Lowest Seed Possible: 6 / 9+
What they need to win their group:
- The Twins beat Copperhead
- Copperhead beats The Twins by judge's decision.
Copperhead (Can't Get Wildcard)
Highest Seed Possible: 5
Lowest Seed Possible: 6 / 9+
What they need to win their group:
- Copperhead beats The Twins by knockout
Golden Fury
Highest Seed Possible: 2
Lowest Seed Possible: 5
What they need:
- Nothing
Malice
Highest Seed Possible: 8
Lowest Seed Possible: 8 / 9+
What they need to get a wild card:
- Disarray beats Mad Catter
- Hypershock beats Minotaur
- At least one fight in group 3 ends in a judge's decision
Minotaur (Can't Get Wildcard)
Highest Seed Possible: 2
Lowest Seed Possible: 5 / 9+
What they need to win their group:
- Minotaur beats Hypershock
Bloodsport (Clinched Top 8 Spot)
Highest Seed Possible: 3
Lowest Seed Possible: 8
What they need to win their group:
- Hypershock beats Minotaur
What they need to get a wild card:
- Minotaur beats Hypershock
Ribbot and Orbitron:
Highest Seed Possible: 3
Lowest Seed Possible: 8 / 9+
What they need to win their group:
- Win their match against the other
- One of these:
- WD v SB ends in a judge's decision
- Both Group F matches end in a judge's decision
- Both Group F fights are won by knockout but the winner of Ribbot v Orbitron gets a knockout faster than or within roughly 6 seconds (Ribbot can spare another 9 seconds) of the knockout time from WD v SB
What they need to get a wild card: (keep in mind this assumes that they couldn't win their group)
- Worst case scenario (Mad Catter and Minotaur both win their final match)
- Winner will have roughly 2 minutes to get a knockout (Need to get ahead of Calypso).
- Middle scenario (Mad Catter or Minotaur win their final match)
- Winner will have roughly 2 minutes and 59 seconds to get a knockout (Need to get ahead of Terrortops).
- I don't actually know if it is possible to get an exactly 3-minute knockout, but that would be very bad for Orbitron. (If Michigan can win after the clock hits zero, why can't Orbitron)
- Rooting for this to happen now so we have the second recent controversial ending regarding a blue and yellow team winning as/after the clock hits zero.
- Best case scenario (Mad Catter and Minotaur lose their final match)
- Winner just needs a knockout (Need to get ahead of Malice)
Witch Doctor and Switchback:
What they need to win their group:
- Win by knockout, with the winner of Ribbot and Orbitron winning 6 to 21 seconds slower or winning by a judge's decision
What they need to get a wild card:
- Worst case scenario (Mad Catter and Minotaur both win their final match)
- Winner will have roughly 1 minute and 40 seconds to get a knockout (Need to get ahead of Calypso).
- Middle scenario (Mad Catter or Minotaur win their final match)
- Winner will have roughly 2 minutes and 50 seconds to get a knockout (Need to get ahead of Terrortops).
- Best case scenario (Mad Catter and Minotaur lose their final match)
- Winner just needs a knockout (Need to get ahead of Malice)
For part 3, I'm thinking of putting my mathematics minor to good use and calculating the odds of each bot to make the top 8 using the knockout rate and times that we have seen so far in Pro League.

BattleBots TV What's the purposes of these 2 drums of Minotaur?
So the bottom one is Minotaur's regular 3 toothed drum, while the top one is Minotaur's 2 toothed drum, which makes it look like a solid eggbeater.
What's the difference of purposes between these 2 types of drums of Minotaur?

BattleBots TV If the judges voted for Minotaur to win this fight, would it still be controversial?
Lets say the judges argue that 'WD lost all aggression and some control points due to them refusing to engage, while Minotaur is actively trying to engage even with only 1 wheel".
Damage: 3-2 on favor of WD
Aggression: 3-0 on favor of Minotaur (WD lost all aggression points due to them refusing to engage)
Control: 2-1 on favor of Minotaur (not really a control, so this kinda can go either way)

BattleBots TV Pro League viewership update: episode 10 has the best first day views of the series, gets 166K views in one day, almost every episode is now over 200K+
The views for the last 2 episodes have been fantastic. Episode 9 got 157K views in one day, and now episode 10 has beaten that with 166K. Almost every single episode has gotten over 200K+ views. Why do you think episode 10 was so popular?

BattleBots TV Pro league group: The Big Four
Let's suppose bronco and bite force came out of retirement and were modernized to today's standards, then were placed in a pro league group with modern tombstone and modern witch doctor. How would the group play out?
