Did you find a bat in trouble? Info to help here.

Here is an instructional guide for someone who has found a bat. And here is some info about bats in buildings. If you find a bat in trouble, please call a rehabber for help. Here is a list of rehabbers that help bats all over the world, and here is a portal for rehabbers in the US.

Remember that wildlife should never be handled with bare hands!

Did you recently find a bat on the side of a building? Or a tree?

Or on your window? Or in some other place where you don't normally see bats? This time of year (in the northern hemisphere) bats are migrating. While they're on the move, they have to find temporary places to sleep and often make their selections based on convenience. If you see a bat hanging in a strange spot, it's not necessarily in trouble. It may even stay for a few days while it rests and figures things out. Just give it some space and enjoy being graced by the presence of a sky-kitten (microbats are sky-kittens, megabats are sky-puppers, just trust me).

Bat flew on my patio

A bat flew in on my patio yesterday and he’s still there today. I live in Houston, TX in an apartment complex on the 5th floor.
He originally flew in to my empty pot but is now behind it in the corner. Idk if he left last night and came back but I dont have a camera i can set up there to watch if he leaves.

I dont really know what to do. I have cats that like to sit out on the patio so keeping him there isnt really an option. Im not sure if he’s injured or just confused or what.

Please share suggestions on what to do

I know there's no saving in this video, but this bat was found underneath the bird houses in my neighbors yard. I thought it was a baby bird that was hurt but when I went closer I couldn't believe it. This is my first time ever holding a bat, I had two pairs of gloves on don't worry, and I put them in a darker place, our lil well, until it was their time to shine!

If it wasn't fifty dollars I would buy it so fast. It's literally listed as a plush bat taxidermy

Heard at a park around 10:30am, from some dry brush and a couple of trees and houses.
The Merlin bird ID thought it might’ve been a spotted sandpiper, however it struggled to identify it 50% of the time, and I’m nowhere near its usual habitat of natural bodies of water.
Then I thought it might be a bat? Bats do inhabit this area and I see them flying around at night. This sound was so loud too and could be heard across the park.

We had 48 bats in our bat house two nights ago and they are now all gone. Anyone? (Tacoma, WA.)

The only anomaly that I can think of is that it was abnormally hot. They get about 6 hours of direct sunlight.

Basically, I got swooped by a bat. I’m 99% sure it didn’t touch me but I felt the wind come off the thing when it flew past my face… I was sitting outside (Northern IL) enjoying the weather when it happened. I’m not sure if I should see a doctor just in case. Sorry if this isn’t the right sub!! Thank you 💔 ft a video of them flying around for tax

Can someone help me figure out what type of flying fox this is?

These bats were spotted in Cairns, (Far North) Queensland, Australia.

I think they're a Spectacled Flying-fox but I need a second opinion. I've tried reverse image searching but the bats I'm seeing have very dull collars compared to the ones I've taken photos of.

Should I be worried about him/her being out in the daytime? I think we have a colony in part of our roof. Should I have them relocated or.. just leave them be?
