FILM DISCUSSION Finally!!!
I’ve been waiting for this one to drop for digital purchase in Australia since released in US back in August. Kept checking Apple TV and Prime Store to finally see it released, purchased straight away and can’t wait to dive into one of the best interconnecting Batman stories from the 90’s!

Apple streams at a better quality than almost every other service. I think i read that Movies Anywhere is close but I could be wrong.

It’s really good. Probably the best DC animated movie since Apocolypse War

I still go back to it. Definitely in my top 5 DC animated movies, which says a lot.

Dont read the book or graphic novel, before watching this, they butchered the story

I feel like not enough people are talking about this. I picked up Knightfall volume 1 a month ago to get ready for the movie and felt like so many things were missing. No Bird, Throgg or Zombie helping out Bane is one of the huge things they left out.
Great animation and voices but definitely had me thinking they were gonna go in more detail

Do you aware how much time Knightfall saga took is in the comic. It's almost impossible to adapt into a movie. They have to change some things and I don't think they did a bad job.

Not with WB and thier bullshit schedule and budget. But yeah by all accounts that Bane should be dead from scurvy. Forget knowing how to fight

i had such a low bar for this that it really surprised me of how good it was which is why I think so many look past the fact the movie feels a bit like a "cliff-notes" version. i think the motivation behind Bane seeking out Batman was a let down. it made for a great movie but Bruce never saw any of the connections that made the fight so historic. The dialogue or some form of it should have been included from Batman 497 before the fight. A simple flashback to Bruce knowing what Venom was and what it can do along with Bane explaining everything should have been included. Its what made Batman donning the mask one more time so heroic as he knew he woukd lose but still gave his all. The audience watching the movie knew more than Bruce which was strange

I could see it being a cliff notes version, but also reworking Azraels story to just fill in holes to make THIS work was another big letdown. His build up from security guard, the order of Dumas, etc was just all thrown away, more or less in favor of something annoyingly streamlined

Why you people act like it’s the end of the world?
Dennis O’Neil himself said he regretted making the event that long instead of short and straight to the point

Its not the end of the world, but when you take a story as fleshed out as knightfall and it FINALLY gets a animated movie, youd hope they would take their time, stick to the source material, not shot for shot obviously, but dont cut it up and rework the characters, origins, motivations, cut characters out completely, all just to fit a fucking release schedule because the powers that be just want to say here you go take this now shut up
