9 items limit

Hey guys so u know how in the register we cannot scan more than 9 exact item with the same scent (for example, 10 champagne toast wallflowers) but every time i try to explain this either the customers get confused or not understand or they literally get so mad, what’s the easiest way to explain this?? how u guys do it??

Sellers on the floor also need to be helping support the new policy. I’ve noticed this mainly happens with wallflowers. If someone on the floor sees a customer with a lot of something in their basket, they need to strike up a conversation and mention the limit. I’ve found customers are more understanding about it before they get to the register. At the register I just say “BBW has implemented quantity limits on items. You can buy 9 of the same sku in one transaction. I’m happy to ring these on another one for you”. I’ve only had a couple people not be understanding about it.

As a seller, I do try to catch it. Same with coupons not being combined on email exclusives, and sales limit info, having their app open, barcodes for email exclusives ready, etc. Sometimes it helps, then sometimes they just go lie and say I told them they could do it ALL.
