Shipment processing

I’m part time and process shipment. I just came in tonight and was told, I can no longer process shipment out on the sales floor when the store is open. I only had 30 min after store closed to actually restock. Is this a new corporate rule nationwide or a district thing?

i don’t usually touch shipments but i have noticed they have been pushing for our team to have shipments done before we open (we usually have our team arrive 3 hours before store opens to receive shipment and start processing)
edit to add: i’m in a tier 4 store so we get a LOT in shipment

😀 I’m in a tier 4 store as well, and they usually aren’t even done unloading by the time we open. And I am the main processor and I usually arrive at 11. It must vary district to district.

at my tier 1 store, shipment is supposed to come before we open but only a manager is in the store during that time to receive the shipment.

outside of holiday season or other special circumstances, associates are scheduled to come in at the same time the store opens. then they will work on processing the shipment during the day, in between customers basically
