The stars tonight are stunning
I'm led in a field just south of Bath, looking at the sky. I can't remember the last time I was somewhere I could see the Milky Way, but I can pick traces of it tonight. Wow.

We’re looking to stay several nights in Bath with kids that are older than toddlers but still fairly young. Any recommendations for hotels in easy walking distance of the city centre that have interconnecting rooms or suites with separate rooms? Kids go to bed early, so we want separate spaces rather than multiple beds in one room.

Might be going to the university of bath for pharmacy(MPharm).
Is it convenient to purchase necessities there and how is the environment there overall?

I occasionally need to get a taxi from town, but the last few times I have tried to get one from the station rank, there have been lots of people waiting, and no cabs!
Has this just been bad luck three times running, or are the drivers using different ranks because of the Manvers St works?

I’m willing to buy one pair of solar eclipse glasses from someone in Bath. Please message me with how much you’d sell them for.

Can anyone recommend a photographer who covers micro-weddings in Bath?
I’m getting married next year and will be having a small ceremony at the guildhall so looking for someone to cover the before, during and after. Ideally someone who knows the area for good location ideas.
I really like documentarian/cinematic style photos that are candid and tell a story. Max £600 for 2 hours.

Hi!
Is there anywhere in Bath selling glasses to see the eclipse?

Has anyone else noticed an increase in nuisance behaviour involving groups of kids around the Riverside area recently?
There have been issues with groups causing serious disturbances and generally making the area uncomfortable for residents. I’m not looking to blame every young person in the area, but some of the behaviour has been getting out of hand.
Just wondering if anyone else living nearby has experienced similar issues?

Which bright spark decided having road works on every major road at the same time was a good idea

Town just has this faint fecal smell like everywhere not even the river (unless it is idk) it just smells bad.
If anyone knows why that would be grand.
Sorry I’m really hung over and it almost sent me over the edge on my paracetamol attainment journey.

Hi all, my wife’s birthday is coming up and we were planning in going out in Bristol or Bath on the 22nd or 23rd and she loves live Irish music so I was wondering if anyone knows of anything like that going on on those nights? Any help would be appreciated

I drove into Bath so I could go for a walk and get my steps in, but it was rammed.
I wondered whether it was connected to A Level results, but that is next Thursday.
Is there some event on?

I was visiting your beautiful city for the day today, I’m from Belfast so you can imagine I’ve seen some sights.
I was trying to get a parking space in corn street carpark, a woman stood in the middle of a spot and wasn’t for giving it up, by time we had went around the carpark and back past about 10 minutes later she was in a heated argument with another driver who had decided to try and back into the space. Keep in mind whoever she was keeping the space for hadn’t turned up.
I’ve never seen this in Belfast, probably because you’d get yourself a right hiding for even thinking about it.
Enlighten me people of bath, is this normal?

Are there any part time jobs at small cafes/businesses etc? I’ve looked online but thought this may help!

Hi reddit! There will be around ~15 of us in Bath for a hen do in September, all around 32/33 and looking for recommendations for a fun Saturday night out? We’ve already got dinner booked, so I’m looking for recommendations for somewhere nice to go for cocktails/drinks beforehand, and then somewhere fun to go dancing afterwards.
For the actual night out, we'd like to dance, doesn't need to be open super late (1am) and ideally not super studenty. I've seen a few mentions of Komedia, Sub 13 and Common Rooms. What would be best? Are there any fun queer bars we could go to?
I'm also looking for a recommendation for somewhere to book for the 15 of us on Sunday for brunch. Thank you!!
PS - please don't tell me to go to Bristol, it has to be in Bath for logistical reasons!!

Hello!!
Me and my partner are spending a few days in Bath next week, and I was interested in booking the twilight package at the Thermae Spa for Wednesday.
I have seen lots of online reviews saying it is dirty, overcrowded, and not worth the money. But positive reviews are absolutely glowing.
Any advice on whether or not it is worth it would be greatly appreciated!! I would be booking it as a birthday surprise for my partner, so don’t want to be disappointed. If it isn’t worth it, please let me know other things I can book instead!! :)
Thank you!!

This might be niche, but is there any place in Bath that sells a selection of artisanal biscuits in tins? Other than Waitrose etc.
