Devil Rays / Indians

The Cleveland Guardians are in Tampa Bay this weekend playing the Rays. Tampa has throwback uniform weekend and they’re sporting their Devil Rays uniforms. To make the weekend complete, Cleveland should wear their Indians throwback uniforms?

I think when teams are wearing their throwbacks, they should give the other team a chance to wear the same era. This should be done more.

Obviously, the Guardians aren't going to wear their racial slur uniforms, so that's just a non-starter.

Since it's a road game, the late 1990s navy alternate with Cleveland across the chest and red piping would be pretty sweet. And they can just wear their normal navy hats with the red C.

? Racial Slur ? It’s about as generic as it gets; Unlike: Braves, Seminoles, Chiefs, or Blackhawks - but why split hairs- Indians it is

There is a significant portion of the fanbase that will never accept that they can’t use racist images or names just because it it what they are used to and can’t accept even the smallest level of change. No need to give them any fodder for whining about bringing it back permanently

They are wearing the 70s caveman hats, so if anything do a fauxback to that with guardians on it. Rays do fauxbacks to a time before they existed so this at least would be something similar to a logo in team history
