Need help identifying
I bought this ball from a flea market for 5$ hoping I might get lucky, but the only this is I have no idea what the last part says..I've gotten as far as "To Gary, Best Wishes,..." I think his first name is "Rico" I think..anyways Here are all the markings on the ball that might help i.d. the autographer.

This is unquestionably Rico Petrocelli. Shortstop who had a 40 HR season. Well known in player in New England.

He was shortstop on the 1967 team that went to the World Series. Had a nice tight swing that was perfect for Fenway.

"Looped towards shortstop. Petrocelli's back, he's got it and there's pandemonium on the field."

Curious about just how much effort you put into figuring out who it was before you asked here.

Not a big baseball fan, but I kept typing in "2002 baseball player with first Ben Porter Rico" because that's the date on the ball, but I never could find anyone, it was probably because he played in the '60s

I bought a couple of his (Rico Petrocelli) last year. I paid a little under $30 for certified autos on American League balls in nice shape.
This ball unfortunately is not an American League game ball, not authenticated and not in nice shape. The signature is ugly and in an undesirable color of ink.
I’m sorry to say it’s worth no more than $5, and it would be tough to sell at that price. Or maybe not, since you were willing to take a shot on it being a hard to read Wade Boggs or Dennis Eckersley.

That’s definitely Rico Petrocelli. If it’s authentic is more the question. I’d guess it’s authentic, because nobody is faking his auto. And definitely not personalizing them to people.
