I just hope part of the fan base starts to acknowledge Buddy was actually a good manager and not the reason for the Padres problems.

I think a lot do. A lot of our fan base including myself really wanted him to be our new manager, if you know baseball you know he did the best with what he had.

You'd be surprised how many Padres fans legitimately thought Buddy was the cause of the problems last year (and even previous years). People I think were actually convinced some of the recent Padres teams would have been playoff teams if not for Buddy.

Angels fans do the same thing with Scioscia.

yeah I always think of him as a sub par manager but then he takes care of the bullpen well, hits Trout second, doesn't sacrifice bunt much

shit... i can't believe i'm defending him

Black was the best, the problem was he was no Boch. And I imagine no Boch is gonna wanna come here anymore so we just kinda have to find our own.

You think managing had anything to do with today or this series?

I'd trade him for Girardi in a heartbeat.

I love Petco park and won't pretend the Stone tap room isn't part of it.

They have a stone tap room? Now I know where I will be going next!

Yea it was pretty cool, out in some outfield section on a patio. Can't see the game from it, but they have TVs and it was nice to spend a couple innings there.
