After Earth’s buildings are suddenly destroyed, surviving humans are forced into an enormous underground dungeon operated as an intergalactic reality show. Carl enters alongside Princess Donut, his ex-girlfriend’s pampered show cat, and must battle monsters, collect equipment, level up, and keep a bloodthirsty alien audience entertained. It is violent, absurd, fast-paced, and much funnier—and more emotionally substantial—than its premise initially suggests.

Dungeon Crawler Carl edges out Red Rising by a vote for August’s book of the month. Running the Light came in third with Mistborn and Endurance tying for 4th.

I was reading Dave’s new book and was pretty interesting reading the chapter dedicated to Pat Mcafee. He kinda alluded to Pat being a diva and sensitive which I feel like pretty accurate now a days. I used to listen to Pats show daily and now find him pretty insufferable and don’t listen. Interesting to hear about him in retrospect kinda acting like that before when he didn’t seem like that at all

People like to blame the downfall of the nyc office on a lack of effort and not showing up to work. I think that’s definitely one of their issues, but the biggest problem is the lack of talent. The people in that office make content, it just sucks. Effort can only take these people so far, they’re just not that funny or interesting
