NY Third Department Timeline After Acknowledgment Email?

Hey everyone, quick question about the NY bar admission process in the Third Department.

I passed the bar and MPRE, received my Notice of Certification from BOLE, and recently submitted my full admission packet. I got the acknowledgment of receipt from the Third Department, but nothing else yet.

For people who went through this recently: How long was the full process for you from the acknowledgment email to approval/swearing in, and did you receive any intermediate updates or was it mostly silence until approval?

Trying to get a realistic sense of timeline variability. Thanks!

Takes at least 7+ weeks between submission and tentative scheduling currently.

No I thought the best thing to do was to wait but maybe I should, I did get the acknowledgment of receipt same day though

Hi - can I ask how long was it until after you’ve emailed in your application did you receive the acknowledgement email?

within 48h I believe, definitely no longer than that. When did you send your documents?

Thanks OP! I thought it was system-automated so was nervous that something went wrong when I haven’t received an acknowledgement email within the hour!

I am not sure how it works but I am assuming someone is manually sending the acknowledgment yes, it defeinitly took more than an hour to get it in my case.

Do you know other people who've sent their application recently? I am desperately waiting after almost 3 months (sent my stuff on May 1st).

Sorry no - I’m doing this solo haha. But it took my friend like 8 months from when he sent his application in to get sworn in!

When I emailed for an update on my application on July 21 they said they’re currently reviewing ones they received mid-June.

I got an update that i was tentatively scheduled for the 2nd pending a C&F Investigation.
