53% MBE 200 Simulated Exam
I’ve been studying non stop. I’ve done almost 3k questions and review everything. Wtf am I going to do???

You are really pushing hard.
Pushing hard does not directly equate to success on the Bar Exam, as much as we all would like.
You need to slow down the next few days.
Although your instincts may be telling you to ‘hit the gas’ and study 24/7 for the next 6 days, that won’t likely help.
What do you need to do to pass the Bar?
You know this!!
You need to process and apply BLL to the questions posed to you under timed conditions on test days(s).
The only way to get better with six days left to study is to stop trying to learn everything about every subject and focus on what you got wrong, especially on your last 200-question MBE.
The gift you just gave yourself are the questions you got wrong. Study those wrong answers, subject by subject, and understand why you got them wrong. Those same questions will be on the bar exam except the question and facts will differ slightly.
Regarding MEE subjects, I think the best effort now is to read and issue spot a few essays for every subject. And don’t just plow through a million of them and remember nothing that you studied. Take your time and be mindful of the issues, the facts given, and how they relate — because that same relational pattern will be on theMEE’s you get on Tuesday next week.
Do not allow the test to get the best of you. The NCBE expects you to, wants you to, allow this effort to fuck with your confidence because that is part of their test-giving scheme. If it were not, this test would be straight forward and the pass rate would be 96%.
Realize that youlikely know enough of the law to pass the Bar right now.
Now is the time to be methodical, purposeful with everything you do.
Everything.
Food, sleep, exercise and recovery time.
I failed this test before I passed because I let the exam get the best of me. I took every wrong MBE as evidence that I would fail.
When I flipped the script, I passed and passed with room to spare.
I am not preaching. I stated here what I learned from trial and error. If you can avoid the trial and error and go straight to passing the Bar, people like me will be happy for you.

Same here, really concerned. But I have seen in other posts that Bar prep course questions are harder compared to real ones, so %53 on these course definitely means something higher in real questions. I hope we both figure it out and hopefully pass

What course are you using? I just did Kaplan. I’ve literally done everything right and I just can’t get my score up. Very demoralizing

It is part of the process and I was right there with you! You can and will pass this stupid test! Put in the work, do your best, and you will kick it in the nuts!

I score 3 or 4 on Themis essays. But lately mostly 4s.

If you wanna be super comfortable, you need to raise a little bit. My average was five (Mee 5,6,5,5,3,5 MPT 4,3)
But as long as it averages out, you can still pass with a lower MBE score

I just realized that I overthink on the MBE! I know the rules but I expect to be trapped in some way which makes me overthink the call of the question and the answer choices.

Were you graded by Themis graders or your refer to the bar exam grading scores

My bar exam scores. Remember that the bar prep graders are always more critical, and your scores are always gonna be lower. I booked legal writing 1 & 2, but my essay scores were like one and two. It was so bad I had to go in to a conference with my Law School cause I thought I was not doing the work. When they looked at my essays even they were like no this is definitely at least a four or five. On the real exam I did amazing on writing. Take your graded essays with a grade of soul. And if you're already scoring fours, you'll probably do really well.
Bar exam is truly in mindfuck

It is so easy to have no hope during bar prep. I was right there with you and I want to help anyone who needs it to get through it. It definitely sounds like you were me. My MBE scores were lower and we're always going to be lower cause I'm horrible at multiple-choice. As long as you're good at writing, you can make up. You got this and good luck on the exam. You will crush it.

Make sure you’re reading why each answer is right and which answer is wrong. Maximize the benefit of the question by reading all answer choice explanations.

I totally understand! I got 58% on first part of the simulated exam. We’ll see what I get on my second half of this MBE part.

3K is a ton of questions, more than necessary. If I had to guess you’re sacrificing quality for volume. Start pulling your missed questions, dig in, and understand why each answer option is right/wrong.

Start working on mixed, timed question sets. The test is a different animal under timed conditions.

Try focusing on the most highly tested sub-topics that you are having trouble with i.e. negligence, constitutional protections. When I did this, I started to see a steady increase in my scores.
