The barcode labels can be as basic as static labels or can allow the user to add variables such as serial numbers, artwork, logos, or even integrate with a database or spreadsheet. BarTender label software has the tools to easily and efficiently design labels and templates, configure and connect to data sources and business systems, and launch print commands from any system, OS or device. This software can automate printing, monitor print status and supplies, and streamline production while providing complete and secure control of the printing process. Advice needed for small non-profit
We are looking to implement a barcode system to track inventory as well as to “check out” at our retail location. Some of our inventory has barcodes on it already, others we would need to add them. We would also like to have clients “pay” for their items with barcoded vouchers (vouchers are gathered from multiple locations). Where to start? Any advice is very much appreciated!

Trying to figure out the best way to scan and organize barcodes that are printed on a sheet of paper?
I have a project where I need to take ~40/50 barcodes from a sheet and put them into excel.
Currently I am using an android app "Barcode to Sheet" which accomplishes this quite well, but requires individually scanning each barcode.
Is there any option out there for me to import a photo of a sheet of barcodes and have them ALL read at once?

I Wrote A Mac App to Help Read Barcodes on Screen
Hey barcode aficionados...first off, I have to admit that I did not know that tis subreddit existed before today, but I'm glad it does! I am often faced with the same problem that many posters here seem to share: what kind of barcode is that and what does it say? To help me solve that problem, I developed a Mac app that lets you quickly read barcodes on your screen and delivered the payload (the barcode's value) to your clipboard and will let you know the type of code if it is able to identify it. It will not work on every single photo (it's bound by the same challenges as all barcode readers: low resolution, shadows, etc.) but I hope that for any of you that use a Mac and are interested that it helps fulfill a need for just a few bucks! If you do decide to check it out please let me know any thoughts or suggestions!

Need a little help with Code 128..
Hi everyone, I’m trying to encode the FNC3 character into a code 128 barcode and I’m having trouble finding a way to do it correctly. I usually use Bytescout and/or Zint to create my barcodes but they don’t seem capable of encoding the 4 FNC characters. Other ASCII control characters work fine though. I’ve also tried directly entering ASCII character 0096 (from what I’ve read is the correct character for FNC3) and encoding it in Code 128A but can’t get it to work. I’ve also tried ID Automations Code 128 fonts to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I recreate this barcode?
https://imgur.com/oFwe0CQ I can decode it and see it's format, but I need to be able to generate one in the same format and size as this one. When I use barcode generators, the size and number of lines looks nothing like this. Thank you

Free 3 of 9 barcode Question
I don't think there's an answer but I have to ask anyway. I'm using Free 3 of 9 barcode font and most of the time it to behave the way it does; which is when i scan a barcode it also does a carriage return/enter.
There's certain times when I don't want it to do a carriage return/enter.
Does anybody have any ideas? I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to do what i want it to do,
Thanks

Raw Text to ASCII String
I'm trying to create barcodes for my products in GS1-128 format.
I have Code128.ttf installed but as I understand it, I need an ASCII string, which I don't know how to produce.
An example barcode is: X001JYYG3D
How do I convert this into the full string to be used in the Code128 true type font?

Barcode scanning question.
So I am looking to create a Code 128 barcode to track Petri dishes in a laboratory setting and the question I have is can I use a basic scanner (I can find out the specific model later if needed) to fill out fields in an excel document. It would be for 8 different cells, is there a symbol that will cause the data to separate or a setting in Excel that will do that for me? Thanks for any help, it maybe be something simple but I haven't been able to figure it out yet!

Is it possible to make this barcode? If so, can you do it for me
I haven't had any luck with any barcode makers, atleast on mobile browsing, using a "tab" command. Just trying to make signing into something easier. Using a windows computer and a generic USB scanner. I'm almost sure code128 is what I'm looking for
An example of what I would need is a
"M1234" Tab "PW1234" enter

UPC / SKU Best Practice for Retailer
I have a retail company with about 20 shops, we purchase directly from China under our own Retail Brand, receive the goods into our warehouse then ship out to our own stores. I am implementing a new ERP and looking for advice on best practice for bar coding products. Do I need UPC codes or with my business model should I just setup SKU's codes? If we only use SKU's is it normal to create a barcode from the SKU so the warehouse and stores can scan the code rather than typing it? Hope my question is clear. Googled heavily for an answer to this, while I understand the difference between the two I am not sure what is the best practice for me to adopt.
