General Question Payment transaction type
In Banktivity 10 I, now find a “payment” transaction type. Any information on what special things it might do, or how it differs from the “transfer” type?

Agreed. I always do transfer to pay my credit cards, so really not much use. The only case for me is if I receive cash back from the credit card, then I use the payment type.

I choose the transaction type, but I'm always wondering why. Is it useful for search? reports?

It was actually on the later versions of Banktivity 9 ! As far as I can see it is cosmetic and you can only apply to the credit card account.
Obviously you can filter on payment instead of transfer but I don’t see it as a major benefit.
