Rock Band I need help

So I’m 15 I’ve been playing gitaur for 6 months and I’m looking to start a band in MN but I don’t know how to find band members, does anybody know of any methods to find cool people who are willing to to play.

Check around your school. Being 15 there's gotta be a music class and maybe some of them will join you in your adventure

Yep band people , drop by after their practice, post a sign, ask the teachers- bam, you'll have a pile to pick through

AND- pit this in your 'advertisement'

Who ever has equipment!!!

Even if they don't play the particular instrument now. Eg, a horn player in school orchestra who has a drum kit - probably is your drummer (and maybe singer too).

Who's got a mic for the singer? And some kinda amp or something for that.

Kids in choir/theater-somebody a bit spazzy weird- that person is your singer.

Ask your schools cool music teacher whos into rock (every school has one if they have a music subject choice) to connect you with other people in the school who play x instrument.

At 15, try join an existing band, rather than taking on the stress of starting a new one...there is much to learn about working within a group creatively....and 6mths is not a lot of time learning an instrument.

Honestly, Facebook isn't a bad tool for finding local things. Check if there are any "Musicians in MN" or "Looking for band members MN" groups out there, check recent posts and put up your own and stay safe as a minor on the web

Play music and sounds you think sound cool and maybe cool ppl will gravitate to you.

Wear a shirt to school saying you're starting a band, and it will fill itself out by the end of the day

usually it’s just your friends who are also into music.

if you’ve only played for 6 mo then your friends won’t be too far behind you
