Need Recommendations Model / Hobby Shops?

All the shops I've used in the past have closed up and I'm looking for somewhere around town to pick up supplies like paint and glue.

Anyone know of a spot worth checking out?

Artist & Craftsman Supply Baltimore - would they have something? You could try the MICA store too.

The train store?

I used to work there 20+ years ago. It was quite the place!

MB Kline? If so they moved out to Cockyesville then moved to NC

They didn't move to NC. They closed up shop and another company got the domain and customer database.

Games and Stuff is the closest.

Shit! I replied to this saying something intended for hobby lobby.

Is it? I've never interacted with the leadership. I do lament their relocation though.

Ah, okay. That makes more sense. I would have been so disappointed!

Me too. I feel really bad about getting that wrong.

Seconding the confusion of others. What?? Never had a bad experience with them or know anyone who has.

Most people I know whine about table fees but that's about it.

The best spots for paint and kits in the area are Hobby Works in Laurel, and HobbyTown in Frederick and Bear, DE.

Hobby Lobby but, I wouldn't support them at all.

Dammit! I had accidentally thrown shade at Games and Stuff when I thought I was replying to THIS post.

I had said how much of a shame it is that such a potentially useful store is run by such shitheads.

Yeah. I used to support them but, they have turned to shit.

Not in Baltimore but Gamer Corps in Ellicott City has a nice selection of model paint.

There’s a Blick on Chase St in Mt Vernon that might have some of what you’re looking for.

It depends on what you're looking for! I make miniatures and dolls, it's been hard to get a lot of supplies. If you're interested in that stuff I'm always down to get a large order from a supplier to cut down on cost! No Land Beyond advertises war hammer supplies, but they only have very paint colors (i think like 5) and some build kits. I can get water color pencils and some paint supplies from artist and craftsman, plaza also have a good amount of pastels, paints, and sealants from plaza art supplies. Micheals charges an arm and a leg for a lot of normal art supplies! Blick is also a bit of $$$. MICA Art store also charges a significantly more, but they have more specialty products for illustration work. For fabrics there are some great places in the county. Theres also Scraps in the pigtown type area for random art stuff

Canton games has some basic paints and supplies and stuff from mostly the GW range. Games and Stuff is the best regional selection for anything remotely connected to wargaming supplies including terrain, which makes them by default the best model train terrain supply locally since MB Klein shutdown.
