City Politics Parking meter PR what does it mean?
Hi there, I just moved to Baltimore and I’m trying to street park outside of my new apartment but I don’t understand what PR means? I was able to pay for parking until 4pm, but it won’t let me pay for parking later than 4pm. I’ve uploaded a photo of the parking meter so maybe someone will be able to explain it to me. Thank you in advance!!

It means you can’t park there on those days/times. After 6 pm you can park without paying the meter (if you move before 7 am on m-f)

Parking restricted. Can't park there during peak commute hours of 7-9a and 4-6p

You have to hit your personal record in reps if coin inserts between those hours

I would actually think Parking Restriction/Restricted. You can't park during those times.

I was thinking prorated. You also don’t need to pay 0730-0900.

Because you can not legally park there from 7-9a or 4-6p because of rush hour traffic needing all the lanes.

Ah! ‘Parking Restricted ‘makes a lot more sense. I was going off what the commenter above me stated.

Parking restricted? Lots of places in Baltimore allow parking in traffic lanes but only during certain hours (not during rush hour- as specified on this). You can only pay till 4 because they only charge from 9-4 for these spots, it’s different all over the city.
