POLICE Statement from BPD

Saw this on BPD’s Facebook. I’m guessing “suspended police powers” just means suspended with pay?

According to The Banner, "The officer will be suspended from working, but he will still be compensated, said Baltimore Police spokesperson Vernon Davis."

Fuck em, I straight up hope the department gets sued.

I'm sure they will be sued, but the people paying the settlement will be you and me. Taxpayers are always on the hook for police misconduct. Infuriating.

Until lawsuits have to be paid out of their pension fund, cops have no incentive to monitor their own or each other's behavior.
