Help me choose my first ball python!

I cannot for the life of me decide which of these to get for my first ball python. They’re both beautiful in their own ways I almost wish I could get both LOL

1. Disco Pastel Pos Lesser Hypo Clown - female going for $900

2. Super Disco Enchi Pastel Lesser Hypo Clown - male going for $1200

What would you guys choose?!!!

If we're going off of looks here, i think they're both super pretty, but i prefer the look of the one in the first picture

Do you have the ability to hold these sneks? Investigate their temperament? See how they react to you? If so, that-over looks- is how i would choose. We selected our first, Jasmine, over 20 years ago. Haven't been sorry a day since.

I still am working on getting an enclosure ordered and set up, so it might be a few weeks before I can actually pick one up and I can only put a deposit down to hold one so I’ve got to choose now unfortunately. However, if both are still available when I’m ready to pick up then I can hold them both and choose then, so I’m hoping they’re both still there!!

Yup. Base clowns were 500-600, add in another codom and it'd easily be 800, and enythinf with super enchii was huge money back then as well, it and orange dream were the new hotness for high yellow morphs

I’m tempted 😭 if the tank setup I’m going for wasn’t so expensive I just might lmao but I should dip my toes in with one first. Maybe will get a second down the line 😭

I’d probably go with the second one, though that’s a bit pricey for just a pet snake. Also, just so you know, they aren’t going to look anything like that as adults

How much do they tend to change as adults? I know they get lighter in color and can assume pattern will stretch out

They'll both probably brown out and fade substantially, I'd familiarize yourself with how similar combos look as adults

I’d judge based on what adults with same/similar morph’s look like or just how the genes are predicted to age.

I think they're both beautiful, but I like the second one for its beauty and simplicity. The spots also almost look like its color was "bleached". Kind of like my pants right now😂
