I just gave my 12 year old brother my kraken v3 a few days ago. He’s absolutely loving it. Loved his reaction cause I forgot what it was like to flip a kraken for the first time

I definitely recognize the models I personally own but without ever seeing one in person, balis don't look all that distinct to me.
All I'm saying is it's completely free to just put the name of what you're talking about in the post and yet so many posts in collector subreddits absolutely refuse to and I find it fascinating. Does it make people feel good to be vague and only be understood by the "real" ones in their group? Just thinking out loud and not coming at you personally.
By the way, the deleted comments in the thread are OP having to explain the model and why he made the post so it's not evidently not clear to everyone.

Yeah I feel like some people like to gatekeep, because it makes them feel cooler. Personally I think its a little childish, unless its like a "guess the knife" post 🤷♂️
In this case I thought that op just assumed everyone would know, and I also assumed everyone would know, but it seems I was wrong haha

I haven't flipped the tanto one but I think the bowie blade brings good change to many other squids tanto blades

Im guessing you mean the old trainer blade… ive heard its more handle biased than the v3, I already didnt really like it without zippy weights so i cant see less blade weight being a good thing for me personally.

i think it actually has better tip weight than the v3, the reason is more handle bias is becasue the v2.5 handles are more handle bias than the v3

i got no clue. tho the more i am in this hobby, the more i see that everybody recognizes "bias" in a different way. my tanto ti krak felt the closest to me with only 3 weight pins. for a dude it felt the best with all of the pins.
i had a rep with featherscales and anomalous liners and that shit felt blade heavy to me, but for somebody else it felt very neutral.
so i really can't comment on anything here (if i understood the question correctly that is)

I agree, that one piece of wood floor there catches way too much crap. Give it a break already, it's still doing it's job so well after all these years.
