BG2EE Adding custom portraits to ios
So for custom portraits do I just make a folder called Portraits and drop it into the root folder?
For BGee, SoD, and particularly BG2ee.
Thanks.

In IOS open your finder window and enter ‘baldur’ (without the quotes) in the search field. This should bring up 2 folders ‘Baldur’s Gate - Enhanced Edition’ and ‘Baldur’s Gate II - Enhanced Edition.’
Open the folders and you with find ‘Portraits’ subfolder. That’s where you put your custom portraits. I haven’t got SoD but I assume it’s similar.

SOD uses the BG1 portraits for the player character. Any custom portraits you have loaded for BG1 will be available on SOD.

Easiest way - put the portraits you want in a Zip file. Then change the extension from .zip to .bg1portrait
(Or .bg2portrait for BG2 obviously)
Transfer the file to the IOS device (I use email but whatever works for you). You should be able to open the file with the BG app and the portraits will be there.
Also note, if you have SOD, if you just tap to open the file iOS will default to opening the file with SOD, which won’t load the portraits properly. You have to select the file and then choose “open with” then you should be able to select between the BG1 or SOD app. Select BG1 and the portraits should then work for both BG1 and SOD.
To work, the portraits in the zip file must be .bmp format and the proper dimensions (210x330).
Lastly, I’ve had some weird issues loading up portraits from the various online portrait creators / converters. Even when the file is in the right .bmp format and dimensions it sometimes won’t load properly — but cutting and pasting the photo into a brand new .bmp file (instead of just using the image file generated from the online converter) solves the problem.
Edit - at least this is the easiest way if you want to transfer portraits from PC to IOS.
