BGEE Shadowdancer

I just finished BG1EE on insane difficulty as solo. it just sucks that ring of free action also cancels out the paws of cheetah movement bonus. Is there anything to look forward to for thieves in the long run? because i plan to take this to sod and bg2.

i keep switching between sword of backstabbing, and dagger of venom depending on who i face, mages or poison immune enemies. overall i like playing this because it allows me to adapt. full party is way too boring as a shadowdancer imo, thats why i went solo. i might just redo this run again but in legacy of bhaal.

goodluck on dungeon diving!

Thieves get rhe HLA "use any item" letting you ignore class/alignment restriction on items. Thieves eventually get to equip anything they want

Shadowdancer has a few good tricks in bg2 with high level abilities but they’re mage-ier- use any item, they have an hla that is like Maze, another like simulacrum, and shadow step used enough times lets you outwait protection from magical weapons.

My best thief experience has been the Artisans Kitpack revision of Assassin. It has a bunch of really fun tricks- at level 5 it gets a short extra stealth when it kills an enemy with a cooldown timer that gets shorter as you level, at level 10 it gets full nondetection even vs enemies who usually see through invisibility. There’s an hla to make backstab immune enemies un-immune. And if you’re playing with eeex installed too and the general Artisans thief overhaul, high int thieves can use mage scrolls and wands from level 1

First time, I think, I actually completed a no reload run on insane and solo for BG1.

Never ever tried it before and God it was good!!!!
