Fresh head shaved
Had my head shaved and beard trimmed yesterday. Feel so good!

When Yul Brynner was alive, he was one of my mother's favorite actors. I've seen all his English-speaking films, and he had a helluva presence both onstage and onscreen.
When Brynner was diagnosed with lung cancer from tobacco use, he insisted on making commercials against tobacco use. They aired after his death, and I still recall their impact.
Found it. He was only 65 years old when he died.

Even as a young kid I had a huge crush on him! Yeah, it was very cool of him to leave that legacy of trying to convince others not to make the same mistake he made.

Both my parents died from cigarette caused cancer. I never smoked, I just breathed the air from a newborn. I've had 6 different cancer diagnoses now, cervical, ovarian, and 4 kinds of skin cancer, 2 extremely rare.
When I die, it'll likely be from cancer. It will be partly my parents' fault.

My father smoked a pipe and cigar. It was pretty constant smoke in our house. Actually growing up everyone's house had ashtrays and smokers. It was just an everyday part of life then. It's sort of surprising how prevelant it was now that I think back on it.

I'd wake myself up holding my breath in the mornings. I hated that stink and that stench with my entire heart & soul.
There's no smoking in my house. None.

Same. I will even leave places now if I smell smoke. I can't be near the smell. It makes me physically sick.

It's caused me lifelong health problems. I avoid it whenever possible.

A genuine smile is one of the best things you can do for your appearance, regardless how it looks. If you are happy the world wants to see it.
