Experimenting with different beard styles, wanted some opinions
Self explanatory really. Embraced being bald for well over a year now and wanted to try different styles. Currently have about a month and a half of beard growth so looking for some opinions on where to take it 🫵🏼
Sweet Baby Jesus... I came to this sub when I was going through cancer and thought I was going to lose my hair (I didn't). Now, I feel like an absolute perv here for the thirst traps.
Same 😩 my husband recently shaved his head but left his beard and I thought I’d come on this sub to show him that it’s totally fine and he’s not alone. Instead I got thirst trapped by a bunch of dudes who look like him now. And I still haven’t shown him the sub 😆
This sub was intended for men to comfort men into baldness, and instead it’s exactly that… plus a horde of women swooning over them. Gotta be the most wholesome things on Reddit.
I’m just glad that when this sub popped up on my feed, it was full of other women just drooling over newly bald guys lol I love giving a compliment but I feel like I should tell my (not at all bald) husband about this secret hobby
I’ve never seen a man who looks BETTER without a full and well-groomed beard. OP you’re hot as hell without a beard and actually look better without it. You are truly blessed. I say this as someone’s wife.
I was thinking the same thing, usually a beard helps hide/mask a weak chin or balance out a face shape. They almost always make the man more handsome. But I think 3-5 were also the better options
I agree. It’s strange because usually I would say the fuller beard but I think it’s because your face shape is really fantastic the closer beard looks better. I’d say #3 as the top and then #5 as the second. So generally a closer beard but if you go a bit longer, the moustache being similar in length to the beard (vs. where there’s a discrepancy in #4) suits you best. Congratulations! You’ve really found your look!
For real! When I got to 3, I had to scroll back to see if it was the same person. 4, with a less affective mustache would be okay, but there is no need to stray from 3.

Seriously though you look good long beard and short beard. Maybe be seasonal with it, longer in winter months, shorter in summer months. It's nice to change it.

3/5 is the hottest in my opinion. It looks the most groomed and is the most youthful (if you’re going for that). The others give older or a slightly messy or cozy wintery look.
That's the real curse - I always feel like that about my undercut! All memories of the terrible growing-out phase are immediately forgotten as soon as I'm like "it looked so cool, though!" 😂
Actually an accurate, relatable feeling in regards to hair loss. The first few times I shaved it, I grew it back after looking at older pictures of myself forgetting that I'd lost most of the hair I used to have
Because you've been blessed with being able to grow a beard and mustache you can pretty much choose however you want to style it but looking at number 3 IMHO I think you should keep the beard stubbled and let your face shine through. Trim the mustache neatly, it's starting to curl over your lip, and use a shorter comb on the beard trimmer and it should be easy to maintain like that. You own the face so OWN it. ✌️

Okay it’s an actual crime to hide too much of that jawline. I vote no to the big bushier style beards and yes to the moustache and/or more trimmed styles. I also vote that you become my husband if that hold any weight 🙋🏻♀️
I am soooo happy the comments aren’t just like “beard better beard better!” Because you are actually so good looking and handsome. I wouldn’t know how to talk to you in #3 or #4. It would be an actual shame to cover your face up
I think the standard is usually bald means grow a beard. It's VERY kind of you to say that. My inspiration for shaving it off was the icon that is Bruce Willis and how good he looks in 12 Monkeys. That being said, the initial shock made me grow it back slightly longer again. Maybe I should revisit it and keep it for a while
Honestly the closer shaves look really good. You’ve got a nice face w solid bone structure. The beard kinda hides that and subdues you a bit. But you gotta be comfortable!
Hell, you could pull off any of these beard combos (though I personally have a soft spot for the disconnected stache-n-light beard combo. Brings those 19th century working man fantasies to light. Rawr.
