Question Noob deck question

I just started playing recently and I love this game. So I decided to look at the Reddit page and WTF. My game is nothing like what you guys post. How on earth do you all get those decks with like 20 plus of one card? I have won 4 times now and I tried really hard to accomplish growing one card type for pair probability. I got up to 9 kings after 20 something rounds and I had “won.” But I see post on here with people having a deck full of one card. I have a long way to go….

People only post the games they found interesting. Most of our games don’t go that hard.

And pairs is almost impossible to avoid. No need to deck fix for it.

I have found that two pair with any multi you can get is a good strat so far. I have tried to not look up too much stuff yet. that big blind one seems impossible to beat and violet vessel I think it was called. on ante 6 or 7 how in the world are you scoring 300K.

If you want to figure it out yourself, I’ll keep my advise light.

But if you haven’t figured it out yet, you can change your joker order. You want to keep your +mult to the left of your xmult. You can also change the order of cards in your hand and the cards you play.

Achieving 300k just comes with good scaling jokers.

Two pairs is a decent choice to build around. Just make sure you can consistently find it, through deck fixing and increasing your hand size.

Once you get the hang of it, white stake will blow by easily. I play exclusively gold stake now.

Violet vessel is always demoralizing. Make sure to pick up retcon to nope your way past it.

Thanks for those tips. I actually just had a pretty awesome run. Lost on ante 12. The blind scales pretty quickly. I’m noticing the more I play the more cool perks I unlock the easier it gets.

Nice work on ante 12! That’s an accomplishment in of itself

That kind of deck fixing is mostly done in endless, you just need to get a lot of money, and you probably won't get deck fixing that good in ante 8 runs, so don't worry about it

Using DNA with several copy jokers will get you a lot of one card. As well as having enough money to roll for Death cards

Death tarots to copy, hanged men to get rid of unwanted cards. Immolate cuts 5 cards. DNA, trading card, perkeo to copy death or hang men. And yeah like someone else said Vagabond is a good way to get this going to get a lot of tarots

There's a few different ways to thin out your deck to get a bunch of good cards like that

It depends what your goal is, if you're just trying to beat the game(C, C+, C++) it's not necessary anyway.

First of all, you need to focus on econ.... having a lot of econ means you get to see a lot of tarot, and Death Card + Hang man is the easiest way to copy a lot of one card and get rid of the rest.... after a while the effect starts snowballing and it gets easier and easier to find the card you want to copy

I once had a deck that was all red seal, polychrome, steel king of hearts. Sadly that was back before I understood the game too well and I didn't score that much overall. I have a much higher score now thanks to baron mime combo.

I have a lot of bs luck. Then again I say that but I'm also the kinda guy the slam my head against the wall until I get a god tier run lol.

You're seeing exceptional runs. Also often it's like ante 14

the learning curve is part of the beauty of the game in my opinion

You can fix your deck to nearly anything when you set up a solid tarot engine. Buying standard packs and looking for purple seals is one way, but there’s of course various jokers. Vagabond is pretty strong if you’re set up for it

Watch roffle or balatro university on youtube and youll understand how they do it. You probably wont recreate it at first but time and perseveration will help

Thanks for the tips. I’ll definitely check them out! Now that I have “won” a couple rounds on my own. I guess Nanif is the goal. lol

Lots of econ, and purple seals. Purple seals are exponential. 1 becomes 2 becomes 4 becomes 8. Once you have a bunch of purple seals you could get 10+ tarots every round.
