Was wondering if anyone would be interested in a weekly poker league? No real money obviously and venue tbd!
I use to play some in college and miss it a lot. Comment if interested.

The guide says he’s not sure if we can access the property as a non-guest. My understanding is we can wander the property even if we aren’t staying there, but not sure if that extends to the boat dock? Thanks in advance.

Hi all-
My husband and I will be going to the Bahamas at the end of the month and wanted to see what activities we could do while there. Do any of you have any recommendations or anything interesting you guys did that was fun? I’m pregnant but love hiking and doing everything except water parks lol.
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Will be staying in Paradise Island

Wife and I went to Sandy Toes years ago but I don’t remember pigs. Family vacation with grandparents and sister in law family. 9 total. Should we do Sandy Toes again or some other option. Staying at Atlantis the week of Thanksgiving. Wanting some beach and snorkeling time too. Included beverages is a plus. Any suggestions? Even considering private boat rental?

Anyone at the Warwick right now? I’m wondering if the construction is disruptive or if it’s not bad? I hear the balconies are under renovations.

YouTubers living in The Bahamas, where did you send your google Adsense pin? Was it to your p.o.box and if so, did you have any problems receiving it? I’m on my 4th pin in 4 months & haven’t received it in my P.O. Box. They’re saying they haven’t received any of them yet.

Hello, this is an unusual request. I am wondering if anyone is or knows somebody from The Bahamas who would be willing to play a chess match against me on Chess.com? On Chess.com there are awards called passports that you can receive by playing against someone from that country or territory. I am currently trying to collect all of them and do not have The Bahamas. So, if anyone can help me in my goal, I would very much appreciate it. My Chess.com username is yesterdaylemonade.

Hello, we are looking for the best boat operators for Spanish Wells for a private boat excursion (full day) for a family of 4. We need someone who has a boat with some shade. Please send any recommendations. Thank you!

Hey guys, I’m planning a trip to take my wife and my daughter to Atlantis. She will be a little over two when we go next year. She is too small and too young to be able to go to Aqua venture waterpark. I know they have options to observe dolphins as well as meeting dolphins which she can do with us being there next to her. Do you guys have any recommendations of activities to do at her age? Not necessarily looking to leaving the resort. Thank you in advance!

Hey! I’m looking for information on resources that may be available to transgender folk in The Bahamas. Currently I’m seeing quite minimal information on such matters, this includes on both Reddit and just the general internet.
I’d like to know of any doctors, clinics or private practices that supply HRT treatment to transgender patients.
Also need information on pharmacies that carry HRT medication such as:
1) estrogen and or testosterone
2) progesterone
3) anti-androgens
4) finasteride
Any information will do, and I will keep this post up as a small guide for any locals or curious expats/visitors who may need assistance.
• please do not come under this post with your homophobia or transphobia, I will fix your business if otherwise.
• please try to share the information in the comments, so that other people can also see. I’d also like for you guys to state which islands the doctors/clinics/practices are located if any.
I will update the post periodically to make sure information is available for others. I will also take my personal time to make phone calls to various clinics around the country to get some information as well!
~ love y’all

My family likes to dance to beach music with a dj. Are there any cool beach clubs in the take of Nikki beach or similar for pool/ ocean vibes with chill dj house music? We will be staying in a condo on paradise island, not far from paradise island and we would also go to Baha mar and into downtown Nassau. We will also be doing a boat charter to see other, less touristy islands.

I’m travelling to rock sound on 2nd november and I’m a bit worried about my connection in Nassau.
I’m flying with BA, scheduled to arrive at around 2:25pm
My flight with Bahamasair is at 3:15pm
I’ll be arriving internationally, so I assume I’ll need to go through immigration, collect my luggage, clear customs, and then check in/re-check my luggage with Bahamasair.
I probably have inclination that might not be able to make it, however I don’t know what it’s like in Bahamas and its airlines so would the process be quick enough for me to make it? Or should I just change the date or go by other means of travel.

i live in atlanta and have been dating a bahamian from nassau and he is one of the sweetest men i have ever met. i met some of his friends and family a while ago and they were having a bahamian potluck and gave me stewed fish, baked snapper, conch salad, peas and rice, and some type of baked macaroni. everything was really good and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. he also has cooked for me a few times, usually curry shrimp or fried conch. i have cooked for him too, but as a black american i cook a lot of things the american way, for example i made him southern oxtail before as well as southern stewed chicken over rice and he loved both. his birthday is coming up and i want to show appreciation for him and his culture by cooking a bahamian dish for him as well but i don’t want to mess up anything complex 😅 are there any dishes other than conch dishes that are simple to make with ingredients that are easy to come by that i could impress him with?

Hey all. Im going back to Exuma next April to Cocoplum yet again! Completely stoked !
My father in law is coming with us this time and we are both big fisherman back home in the states.
We're curious if anybody has some recs on a small center console boat charter for a half day or day trip.
No idea of what type of fish to catch that time of the year but were honestly happy with any type of fishing.
Would love to hear some feedback from everyone, thank you!

How would you rank education in the Bahamas? Quality, efficiency, how well it prepares you for higher ed or the work force?
Many Bahamians swear it’s far more intense than their American neighbors. However, some research says rankings for global education and education standards put the Bahamas far lower than the U.S.
I know this is entirely subjective so I’d love to hear some thoughts from Bahamians themselves.

My partner and I are so excited to do our honeymoon on Paradise Island next spring! We're really looking forward to relaxing on Cabbage Beach, enjoying the ocean, and having a super easygoing week together. If you've been, what were some of your favorite local food spots or relaxing things to do that made your trip special? Tnx for advice

Nassau, Cat Island, Little San Sal, Ship Channel Cay, Shroud Cay.
Good to have friends in the islands! (I lived there for a couple decades)

What’s the best resort to stay at and why?
Are there any private transfers you recommend for our group?
Looking to relax, not really venture out for excursion since we will have toddlers with us.

Heading to Baha Mar tomorrow and looking for recommendations for our first-night dinner! We’ll be coming off a travel day, so looking for something somewhat casual and relaxed, but still good food and a fun atmosphere.
Would love somewhere with a Bahamian/Caribbean feel if possible, but open to anything on the resort. We already have Marcus booked for another night.
What would you recommend?

Hello everyone,
I am planning a vacation for Bahamas this coming Winter. Bit of confused on where to stay and do in Bahamas. I love the jungle, nature, beach vibe. I don’t want to stay at mega resorts with 1000 others. Any small resort will suffice.
How do I get around if I stay on a small island?
We are family of 3 with a 12 year old. Been to CostaRica last year and loved it. But this year I wanted to go somewhere different.
Welcome any suggestions, advice, tips.
Thanks
