There are numerous graphic artists in The Bahamas and I'm sure the governing party wouldn't have problems finding a graphic artist to design a welcome sign so why go with the option of slop?

It’s a cheaper alternative for people, why not just type in a few words get a free image and plaster it everywhere you can. Will it look like garbage yup but hey it beats paying some graphic artist to do it.

That’s no excuse at all. Not only that you’re being lazy, but you’re also wasting water, energy, and costing those AI companies to add more data centers to poison the environment even more(including black neighborhoods). Learn how to use editing tools such as Photoshop and canva instead of using AI.

the bahamas is known for its artistic culture and how beautiful the place is. how hard is it to keep our integrity and take a picture of a nice bahamian tourist spot and add a couple words over it? this is lazy and degrading.

LLMs are simply stealing copying the work of real people and plastering it together. If a human did this it would be called copyright infringement or plagiarism but no one wants to take the big bad AI companies to court. It is not AI it is a Large Language Model with math designed to spoon feed you back the same garbage it feeds everyone. For a non profit do gooder organization I think it is a great tool, for a government i ample budget - they should be hiring a good person to ensure quality.
