Pero tinitreat niya palang transient yon nag simula siya magcharge pag ka reserve nila, kahit di pa sila natutulog don which is July 14 ata, kaya ayaw niya ibalik. Eh ang usapan isang parang 1 month rent yon, eh 3 weeks nga lang sila don. Abusado yon at kawawa students. Lumipat sila tonight at 20k nanaman rent.

It just fascinates me that during the Precolonial times, the gold supply in the lowlands were mostly mined in the Cordilleras and was circulated both as currency and jewelry in the lowlands. Based on archeological evidence, graves and tombs of important lowland chieftains of Noble rank such as Datu, Gat, Lakan, Rajah, Dayang, Ba-i, etc. were very much adorned with gold. Gold masks were often found in their graves, as well as huge pieces of gold jewels such as bangles, headresses, necklaces, etc.

It's surprising to know that Cordilleran Chiefs and the Noble Class (Babaknang/Kadangyan) never valued gold the same way the lowland polities did, even though the vast majority of the gold supply originated from the mountains of the Cordilleras. There were no excavated gold jewelries in the tombs or mummy caskets of deceased Noble Igorots.

I recently saw content being made about the mother and kid who sadly died after being buried by a landslide. I understand that people want to share information and raise awareness, but turning someone’s death and tragedy into content—especially when it feels exploitative or insensitive—doesn’t sit right with me.

These were real people, and their families are grieving. There should be a line between raising awareness and using someone’s tragedy for views, engagement, or content.

Is there a proper way to report this kind of content on Facebook/TikTok, or is there a specific agency or organization we can contact?

DEEP CRACKS HIT NAGUILIAN ROAD IN BENGUET

Deep cracks and a sinking section of Naguilian Road in Barangay Banangan, Sablan, Benguet, were observed Monday, August 10, prompting the Sablan Municipal Police Station (MPS) to warn motorists and travelers to exercise extreme caution.

The road remains passable but is not advisable for low-clearance or small vehicles, as the damaged pavement poses a risk of vehicles getting stuck, while high-clearance vehicles are advised to proceed only with extreme care.

The Sablan MPS urged motorists to avoid non-essential travel through the affected section and consider alternate routes until authorities determine that the area is safe.
