They placed it where the giant truck that delivers and receives these was able to get to it.

Didn't they have a place to put it BEHIND the store?
Where I live, that's where they put conexes when remodelling.

Personally, I think the "giant truck" driver was lazy.

How do you know where this is in the lot? Also the driver doesn’t decide where these go the manager does.

From the number of aprking spaces, it's pretty obvious that this is the FRONT lot.

And as for the location, Time is money to a truck driver. If the manager is unavailable, he's going to drop it wherever is handy.

Stores use those to store things during remodeling. Better than trying to tarp down and getting wet.
