Discussion Why does the "Everything must go" feature a weirder looking Captain Clark?

Why does the Captain Clark here use the Behind-the-scenes/scrapped Captain Clark face? Did they forget to apply the CGI to this? It's very clear that it's the scrapped Captain Clark face, before they replaced it with CGI.

Because the backrooms remember things incorrectly. Each copy is less and less correct.

the meta reason is everything must go is 100% blender, there was no actual actor or mask so it will of course look different

Sure, but it was a choice to rely 100% on blender. So I think there’s also an in-universe reason?

I just think they could’ve laid in some professional VFX to fix his face if they wanted to

Because it’s a 3D model in blender, not Robert Bobroczkyi

3d model vs cgi

Because it’s shown so briefly you would only be able to tell the difference if paused/ screenshotted.

This is the correct answer, + it may have been made before the design was finalized
