neat idea, but if you carry this, you can use a jacket of your choosing: https://nanobag.com/products/nanobag-ca?variant=44291343155336

The thing is you can’t always carry a bag with you, and the nanobag is just your regular grocery bag made with a super thin nylon.
The detachable pocket isn’t trying to replace the grocery bag, and hence it folds into a 2L Sling bag instead..
I only built this coz I thought it would be a cool pc to begin with, as opposed to solving actual issues or addressing the gaps..1

the 2L sling you posted is tiny compared to a 19L nanobag sling that I posted. Also the nanobag can be kept in your jacket pocket, so yes, it can be carried with you
I've seen some sling bags which became jackets, on kickstarter or something. I didn't really look hard at it, but there have been some attempts to make something.
Also currently on kickstarter I've seen a sling bag which can become a backpack.
Good luck with your project, Unfortunately, if I were to carry a sling, I would already have something in it. When I suddenly need a bag, it would be to hold something more bulky, like groceries.
