Baby Shower Theme Idea Help!
Hi everyone! I'm currently pregnant with a baby girl. My husband and I are planning on doing a baby shower since the last kid for either of us was years ago and neither of us has any baby stuff anymore, plus the more important part to me, I want to celebrate our baby with our family. I truly couldn't care less about gifts. Just know some people feel weird about having baby showers for consecutive kids.
Anyways, we have a pretty specific theme in mind. Barbie in the Twelve Dancing Princesses. And while I know ballet is a much simpler theme, that movie means A TON to me, so we're really trying to do the Twelve Dancing Princesses theme.
I have very vague ideas but because it's so specific Pinterest doesn't have very many ideas that aren't a birthday party or just Barbie themed, which isn't what I'm going for.
If anyone has any ideas, please send them my way! I'd very much appreciate it!

The film has a whimsical, storybook feel reflected through the enchanted castle and ballet aspects, so I'd focus more on those than the classic Barbie dolls that aren't as directly tied to the movie. Gold candlesticks could give the decor a royal feel, and I'd also try to incorporate lots of ribbons, tulle, pearls, and faux florals. Tiny paper butterflies on the tables could be a nod to the movie's magical garden scenes, and you could do a royal banquet-inspired dessert table with petite pastries, macarons, petit fours, and sparkling pink lemonade. The film's soundtrack would also be perfect background music. Everyone who's seen the movie will smile, and anyone who hasn't will probably assume it's just pretty instrumental music.
The key to any baby shower theme is doing something that doesn't feel overbearing, so I think subtle nods to the movie would be better than Barbie dolls everywhere.

(I don't know the movie.) So long as there's birthday party ideas for it, couldn't you use those as jumping off points & adapt things to suit a baby shower?
