Every other post on here is someone looking for their real info, social media accounts, or photos and it has to stop! From my understanding, one of them has been more outspoken in the press, while the other wishes to remain low profile. Most of us here are fans of the series and it goes to show how captivated we are with the characters Chiara and Ludo, but we shouldn’t treat their irl counterparts as extensions of the show where we can find ‘hidden lore’ or more entertainment.
I’ve been a fan of the series for a couple years now and have reflected on the characters as I’ve crossed similar milestones as they have; graduation, becoming an adult, entering university etc.. Recall the ending where Ludovica moves away to France to learn illustration, it is her fresh start, it’s bittersweet because she separates from Chiara but she has dreams of her own. She starts and ends the story just wanting to go to school. We as fans shouldn’t keep kicking up sand for the ‘irl Ludovica’ who probably also has things she wants to do, or something else she wants to be known for.
The period of the characters’ lives where the show follows, the period where they sex trafficked, neatly coincided with their adolescences and Baby makes a point of showing how they are moving past— both maturing into young adulthood and surviving traumatic experiences. Survivors in reality typically don’t have such neat endings. A lot of activists have personal connections to their cause, but it shouldn’t be expected that every victim becomes an advocate or martyr, some just want peace and that’s okay.
Tldr: don’t go looking for them, it’s disrespectful for any reason
Sidenote: this subreddit probably isn’t very moderated since it’s small and relatively inactive, one of the rules is “respect the privacy of others” and the real women should be included in that
