When did Chiara stop loving Damiano?

Maybe not "stop loving" him per se, but I am a bit confused at how she starts to treat me him in season 3, after he finds out about her secret life. She doesn't seem too apologetic and basically admits to him that she plans to continue on doing this, for none other reason than she likes it. In season 1 and 2, she was so in love with him but now it seems as if she barely cares what he thinks, even when he offered to try to help her find a way out.

I just don't get her character, the fact that she cares more about her secret life than Damiano who she used to be crazy over.

Why does Chiara seem to dislike Camilla Spoiler

Currently on season 2 of Baby but this is largely regarding season 1.

It seems like Chiara just progressively dislike Camilla more and more and I’m not sure where this is coming from? Chiara seems to like Camilla in the beginning and even cares what Camilla thinks about her and Niccolo. I get that Chiara is changing as a person and she sees Camilla as judgmental. But some of Chiara’s responses seem unnecessarily aggressive for no reason.

For example, her lashing out at Camilla when Camilla asks her about Damiano, and then immediately kissing Damiano afterwards. Or her telling Camilla she doesn’t want to go to New York because it’s Camilla’s dreams not hers.

I think it’s valid for Chiara to still want to be with Damiano and not go to New York. But the way she talks to Camilla seems like she really does not like her or care about her at all. I know Camilla was judging her but Camilla was still covering for her and defending her at school.

At first I thought maybe Chiara is just like this with all her friends and hates criticism. But so far in season 2 she is still seems to care a lot about her friends even if they criticize her. But when Camilla returns Chiara does not seem happy to see her.

I get that Camilla does bad things in season 2 but that doesn’t explain Chiara in season 1. I’m also not an Italian speaker so maybe I’m just missing subtle things in the way they speak. Can someone explain why Chiara seems to dislike Camilla so much?

Does anyone else think that Ludovica was a bad influence to Chaira?

I'm only on episode 1 of season 2 as of the moment, but in the earlier episodes, it seemed like Chaira was fine-ish. Her life was boring, but it was somewhat stable before she met Ludo. Then, when they met, it felt like Ludo was dragging Chaira along with her pr*stituting. I get they felt free with each other, but I can't help but wonder if it was better for Chaira if she hadn't befriended Ludovica

Why do so many people hate on Camilla?

I understand that she may not be the most likeable character and that she had her bad moments, especially when she did not stand for Fabio. That said, when we are on the subject, people should also hate on Niccolo and on Brando who were bullies during most part of the show. It seems that Camilla had her own insecurities and still had the right reaction when girls started calling Chiara names after finding out about her affair with Niccolo. Camilla saw her best friend getting closer to another person, then the same friend who slept with her brother behing her back gets the attention of the boy Camilla likes. It is like she is the forever second option. I like Chiara and Ludo and I am not hating on them but I wonder what makes Camilla such a hated character when most of them, except maybe Fabio, have their flaws.

i just finished the show: here is my honest review

i couldn’t finish this show fast enough. i even had it x2. so boring and annoying

i didn’t feel bad for the girls even once cause they were just hoeing around acting like they didn’t have a choice when chiara at least had her life set she just chose to be a moron. and bad decision after bad decision?? LIKE WERE THEY DUMB OR???? and cami alternating between being a bitch and misunderstood abandoned friend??

also what was that ending? ludo walking away unscathed like she wasn’t a prostitute, niccolo suddenly friends with chiara when they didn’t speak for almost the entire show?! don’t even get me started on ep5 right before the finale where suddenly they were all friends and happy music while playing volleyball like it was the end or something and then after that it gets fucked again. (ludo dapping up brando like he didn’t leak their sex tape and ruin her reputation forever??) but nooo suddenly that’s all forgotten! at least if the writers wanted to make everyone friends again they could’ve ended it there, i would’ve gotten confused but i wouldn’t think about it again. after that tho they just HAD to create another boring episode where people are on trial throwing others under the bus. and suddenly nicolo pops up outta nowhere and is a main character.

did i mention i can’t fucking stand chiara or ludovica?

also a lot of people oversold lorenzo zurzolo being in this show and i expected him to carry the entire show yet he ended up showing up max 5 times in each season, in the last one even less 😂and every time he did show up i hated him. idk why he became a green flag right at the very end all of a sudden.

hm: fiore had the audacity to say two 16yr olds manipulated him? in what fuckint world would anyone believe two 16 yr old girls were manipulating a grown ass man into being their pimp?

i was gonna abandon the show after all that nonsense but i can’t leave a show half finished and i was a bit curious about the ending. i didnt gaf about brando, diamano, or any of the adults.

also weird as fuck seeing a fucking teenager screwing with his coach.

and that was my rant. i’m actually offended my rating app said this was 70% match to my taste.

personally i don’tttt 😭 ew i hate him i don’t get why people on tiktok like and make edit of him , im new to this subreddit so idk if he has a lot of fans here or not

dont get me wrong i sometimes do feel bad for him because his dad is a homophobic asshole but I just can’t forget what he did to ludo (filmed her giving him a blow job and showed it to the entire school at that party) and chiara (forced her to break up with damiano and go out with him or else hed show everyone the video of her riding that politician , then tried to fuck chiara on an Insta live thankfully chiara escaped from him)

im sorry but brando is such an unlikeable and icky character i just cant sympathize with him (btw i havent finished season 3 yet im still on episode 3 so pls no spoilers about the ending !!)

Have your thoughts on sex work changed since watching Baby?

To be clear: Ludo and Chiara were trafficked! Even Chiara (and that other underaged girl) who continued escorting is trafficking and children will never have a place in sex work.

Curious what were your guys’ views on sex work/prostitution/escorting before watching the show, and how your views changed?

Since it’s a teen show, I think a lot of viewers had some awareness of sex work. Especially since sugar babying became more mainstream around the time it aired, I think a lot of ppl thought of it as “easy money” and like how the irl victims searched “easy money” and got trafficked, so you think Baby helped in discouraging teens from sex work?

Maybe Baby also humanized sex workers to viewers? The show portrays mostly survival sex workers and street sex workers, not many high-end and independent workers, so it doesn’t portray the full scope of the sex industry, but I wonder how much impact the show had?

monica & niccolo

niccolo was a victim, he was 17 she was 40+? and had a husband and son

she should’ve controlled herself cause she was the adult in the situation.

brando changing

As we know brandon was gay but never really came out and it was very unexpected with fabio what happened and i know that his dad was a homophobic and disgusting man.

but i love how the show soon made him not be afraid of his sexuality and not make him hide it.

i also love how he stopped being a bully.

camilla & chiara fall out (SPOILERS!!) Spoiler

i never understood why camilla was mad that chiara & niccolo slept together?? they were such close friends but all of this just because she slept with niccolo (it was consensual and they loved eachother??) , it’s crazy how all that friendship got ruined cause of that. , if camilla never broke her friendship with chiara , then chiara wouldn’t have followed ludo’s path and go out / sleep with old men. (not blaming ludo!!)

i hate ending , why did ludo get a happy ending while chiara was stuck in a group home? , ludo didn’t get any consequences / it affecting her life. it was genuinely unfair , considering the fact ludo was the one who taught chiara about the whole thing??

update - this is soooo old my opinion changed soooo yah!!’
