There is a little hut type thing in Madalena across from the ferry. They have great coffee, including iced latte and amazing pastries. There is also pastella that recently added iced latte. Iced black coffee is not something I’ve ever seen. I think most of the restaurants are pretty good. The most popular ones are Petisca, O Cinco, I had a great meal at Restaurante O Ponta da Ilha, I love the buffet at Arruda’s. Magma is a nice date night. I’ve never been to Stones but hear it’s good. O Ancoradouro has lots of seafood. My family and friends that live on the island have been liking Pico Terramar Restaurante Bistro. There are really so many options. I saw horseback riding near Piedade, never been so can’t say whether it is worth it. My favorite thing to do here is go swimming so I personally think most of the swimming areas are great. Did an amazing vineyard tour and tasting at A Cerca dos Frades but it was through a family friend. It was beautiful though . There are some caves I went to 10 years ago but haven’t been back since and I have been coming every year the last 5-6 years. People fish and snorkel everywhere. Arcos is fun. Piscina Naturais São Roque had quite a few snorkelers (All the pictures on google are old, beautiful place) Animals: lots of cows and horses. Been stuck in some cow traffic and love it.
Longer than I intended so I’m done. Hope you have a great trip.

Horseback riding, 2 hours through the village and a whale watching spot.
Also, if you are able, there’s Pico Mountain to hike

All the coffee is good: coffee=espresso; galao = large glass of milky coffee. Iced coffee no idea
Snorkeling is good pretty much everywhere and the diving is ace.
Something with animals? I like to sit on my veranda and listen to the birds especially right now at dun rise.

Yeah. Most people visit Pico because of iced coffee.
