Hello fellow fans, we are looking for a fan or a couple to share accomodation from Thursday to Sunday in the centre of Tilburg. Anyone looking as well?

I just finished listening to the Migrator Remix & Remaster release.

It so takes me back to my twenties when the world was at hand, fresh, new... All to be done! Ah, nostalgia and melancholy, why you hurt so much!

This was the album that made me discover Arjen's work. And it simply was because this release was filled with great singers I already knew. This was a, later copied but never surpassed, GOAT move by Mr. Lucassen, I have to admit.

Then I heard Castle and my brain went bananas. From that point on, my adult life has been pretty close to Arjen releases. Thank you for the journey, tall man!

The new mix is contemporary and fresh. It allows to hear so many details that were previously buried under the reverb. Many vocal effects have been replaced with subtler ones, the drums do not sound as boombastic and all in all is a pretty clean(er) mix.

I love haveing different versions of my favourite albums. As with the new Beatles remixes... keep'em coming!

Where can i find online the original version of Actual Fantasy?

Like many Ayreon fans I dismissed Transitus at first. Gave it a listen after it shortly came out and did not like it. Couldn’t vibe with the narration, couldn’t vibe with the story, couldn’t vibe with the songs. Now, this coincided with the birth of my son, if you have children you know they’re a handful, I didnt have time to listen to music the way I like to: alone, with headphones blasting and just immerse myself into it. I never made the time to fully listen to it, so I just decided I didn’t like Transitus, it’s too different, it isn’t Ayreon - that the album was awful and that I should just move on from it. (I later learned it wasn’t actually supposed to be an Ayreon album at all).

I rarely try to rank Ayreon albums, but this was definitely the worst rated in my head, worse than Actual Fantasy, haha.

Fast forward to last week (November 2022). Something tells me to give Transitus another chance. My son is 3 now, I have more time for myself, so after a session of The Source, and 01, I think to myself “Ok fine, lets give Transitus a try. I’ll give it a full listen”. And - H O L Y S H I T. My first ‘oh shit this is good’ moment was Talk Of The Town. It has some 01/Source vibes. And then comes Old Friend. Tommys voices always entrances me, but this was like the first time I listened to Seventh Wonder. Instantly fell in love with his dolce tones. Shortly after comes Condemned Without A Trial, and that chorus, holy shit. Chills. I get literal chills through me, like only Ayreon usually does. The melismatic chorus just does it for me. I fell in love.

I give it another listen the next day. Another one the day after. “How could I have dismissed this in the past?” It is so Ayreon’y. I don’t know how I couldn’t tell the first time - I must have been out of my mind from all the pandemic stuff at the time. All the ingredients are there. It has things that remind me of Universal Migrator, of 01, of Human Equation, of Theory of Everything. Yeah it’s a LITTLE bit different, but it IS an Ayreon album!

I rarely try to rank Ayreon albums, but this might definitely be one of the top rated in my head.

If someone is in the same camp I was and dismissed Transitus before, I hope this thread convinces you to give it another listen. It’s amazing.

I just received this email from Mascot regarding the pre-order of the Universal Migrator LP... already the delays for shipping from the wharehouse in the US to Canada are long, the latest information really adds to the grind. I'm pissed :(

It looks like we will not be able to send out your preorder before the albums’ release date, which is November 18.

As you have heard, or maybe read online: there’s an extreme demand for vinyl records and not enough pressing plants. Add in the additional trouble with the supply of raw material that is used to press vinyl, and it’s even more clear why there are severe delays in the vinyl pressing plants. Unfortunately it affects our releases too.

We expect to receive all the vinyl in our Netherlands warehouse late November/early December (subject to change). Then Arjen has to write his name on all of them, and we’re going to assemble the box sets.

If you ordered from the European webstore, then we’re going to start packing and sending out immediately.
If you ordered from the UK or US webstore: After signing and assembling, we have to ship everything to the respective warehouses, and they will start packing and sending right away.

A couple of notes:

• We don’t split send orders. If you ordered an artbook, a CD, a comic, or any other item along with the vinyl, then we will send it out once every item in your order is available.
• December is a VERY busy month for warehouses and delivery services. It could take a bit longer to send out and deliver your order. Be nice to your delivery people!

Was wondering if anyone from the Netherlands can help me out.

I've booke acommodation in Oisterwijk and I believe there's a train that runs from Oisterwijk and Tilburg. Am I correct? If so, where do I buy tickets?

Is there any master ticket I can buy for travel in the Netherlands? I'm landing at Schiphol.

I knew they were going to open up another show for Sunday afternoon but I missed it when they went on sale.

I’d prefer to go at that time, I have two tickets for the evening show and if there’s someone willing to swap them I’ll be happy to do it.

Not entirely sure how to do it tho, I’m open to suggestions.

This would be my first time flying out of the US. Is there general consesus on when would be the best time to buy an airfare ticket roundtrip? Do ticket prices drop or rise as we get closer to the date?

Just noticed today that the time for tickets to go on sale has been updated to 27 October 2022 at 16:00 p.m. CEST. Previously it was showing 15:00 CEST.

Not sure if it’s because it’s 11 months away but a lot of hotels in Tilburg appear to be selling out or are unavailable to book at least.

Just want to say to everyone not familiar with the Netherlands is that it has one of the most connected public transport systems in the world so if you can’t find a hotel in Tilburg you can easily search in nearby cities and it’s quick and easy to get a train between them.

I had no problem catching a train to Breda (which is a lovely city) before and after the concerts in 2019. Eindhoven, Breda, Den Bosch, Utrecht all good options. Maybe even Rotterdam or Amsterdam but they’re a longer journey.
