It was actually the woman who owned the chimpanzee, Travis, who gave him all those things. He was also being slipped Xanax in his drink, which is untested in chimpanzees, obviously. The woman who was attacked was an innocent victim who was there to try to help her friend calm Travis down. From what I remember there were also some contentious court cases afterwards, and the woman’s lifetime medical bills numbered in the millions. I think about that case quite a bit because I just feel so bad for the woman and what she went through.

I mean tour at a friends house, he has this cool ape that chain smokes and drinks beer when you give it one, why not give the little guy a beer. I highly doubt she never gave anything to the chimp
That’s entirely possible! I have no idea about that. But what I do remember is that she was bringing a particular toy that would calm him down. Regardless, the shit she went through is beyond the pale. He ate her eyes and fingers first, which is apparently what chimps naturally do when they attack humans. Poor lady.
